Day 1: Sofia - Razlog

Sofia - The journey begins in the vibrant capital of Bulgaria, Sofia. Enjoy a scenic drive as we explore the city’s landmarks from the comfort of our vehicle.

Razlog - Travel from Sofia to the charming town of Razlog. Settle into a cozy bio hotel and look forward to a delightful homemade dinner.

Day 2: Razlog – Dobarsko

Bansko - Our next stop is the historic Theodor Stratilat Church, where you can marvel at the unique fresco of Jesus stepping out of a vehicle resembling a space rocket! Return to the farm to learn about the process of creating organic products. Participate in milking cows, harvesting garden vegetables, picking fruits, feeding animals, and making traditional Bulgarian yogurt and butter. Options for horse-riding or shooting are available. Enjoy a homemade Bansko-style dinner and stay overnight at our bio hotel in Razlog.

Day 3: Razlog – Kovatchevitsa – Leshten

Pirin National Park - Today, we travel south to the stunning area where the Pirin and Rhodope mountains meet. Prepare for breathtaking views and unique landscapes.

Day 4: Leshten – Dospat – Trigrad – Kosovo Village

Dospat Dam - Embark on another day filled with unforgettable experiences. Depart the Pirin mountain area and head east, passing the beautiful Dospat Dam.

Trigrad - Continue the scenic drive to Trigrad Gorge, a natural wonder where the Trigrad River has carved a path up to 350 meters deep into the marble. It’s one of Bulgaria’s most impressive gorges.

Shiroka Laka - Journey through several picturesque villages, including Shiroka Laka, known for its rich traditions and customs. Stop to admire the stunning Rhodope landscapes and authentic architecture. Enjoy lunch at a traditional mehana and the sounds of a Bulgarian bagpipe.

Kosovo - Continue through the Rhodope mountains to the charming village of Kosovo.

Day 5: Kosovo Village

Kosovo - Kosovo village retains its traditional charm, showcasing Rhodopean Renaissance architecture harmoniously integrated with nature. Our hosts have restored some of the centuries-old houses using traditional methods and natural materials. The accommodations blend authentic architecture with modern comfort. Experience the Rhodope mountains’ nature, customs, and history, and savor traditional Rhodopean cuisine. Participate in preparing “patatnik,” a typical Rhodopean dish, and visit a traditional shepherd’s house.

Assenova Krepost (Asen’s Fortress) - Visit Asenova Fortress for a final glimpse of the area’s beauty.

Stara Zagora - Travel towards Stara Planina (Balkan Mountain), stopping only for lunch. Take a break in Stara Zagora for some leisure time.

Sliven - Head to Sliven, known as the “Town of the 100 Chieftains,” where the stunning Karandila mountain landscape awaits.

Zheravna - Journey through the magnificent slopes of Nature Park Sinite Kamani (The Blue Stones) to the village of Zheravna. Pass through several historic mountain villages. By dusk, enjoy the serene rural atmosphere and picturesque architecture of Zheravna. Relish traditional Bulgarian specialties prepared by our hosts and fall asleep to the soothing sounds of crickets.

Day 6: Zheravna

Zheravna - After a delicious breakfast, immerse yourself in rural life. Take a horse-cart ride to experience the village like a local, enjoying a “bird’s-eye view” of the landscape. Visit a traditional wine spirit-making site, where you can taste and assist in the process. Enjoy homemade appetizers that are unforgettable. In the evening, enjoy a special performance by grandmothers from nearby villages, showcasing traditional Bulgarian folklore, accompanied by gourmet cuisine prepared in Zheravna style.

Day 7: Zheravna - Sofia

Zheravna - The next morning, witness and try your hand at weaving traditional carpets, a popular attraction for visitors. Learn the techniques for making the wool soft and comfortable.

Sofia - Begin the journey back to Sofia, where a dinner and final overnight stay await.

Day 8: Departure

Sofia - After breakfast, depart for Sofia airport.
