Historical and natural wonder combined - Impressive fortress. We were lucky that the leaves were starting to turn autumn colours, so it was particularly beautiful. The guide, Stefan, was friendly, informative and easy-going. He was also very considerate and he made the trip pleasant for everyone. Despite the long ride (3 hrs one way), it was beautiful scenery and the time seemed to pass quickly.

Belogradchik and Venetsa Cave with Michael, the best Guide there is! - The tour is well organized and very interesting. Belogradchik is an amazing place: you are in Bulgaria but it looks like Arizona. Venetsa Cave is extraordinary, full of stalactites and stalagmites illuminated by colorful lights that make it even more suggestive. The hike definitely exceeded expectations and was the spearhead of our week-long trip to Bulgaria. We were very lucky to have Michael as Guide: he is very nice, cheerful, funny, very knowledgeable and helpful: he met all our needs helping us in every way to make the most of this day. Recommendation to all this excursion, especially I recommend that the Guide is Michael!

Worth it! - The drive itself is very pleasant, beautiful landcapes along the way. And the Belogradchick is surely worth the trip. Everything was organised very professionally and went smoothly.

Day trip - It was a small group so more questions.Kristof was a good guide, we had a lot of fun. The area is nice and one day is just good enough to visit. The rocks are nice and the cave it cool. Don't forget to bring a hoodie.

Fantastic Guide. Spectacular site. - We were a nice small group of 7. Stefan was a wonderful guide, knowledgeable, well-spoken, explained things intelligibly and didn't talk for the sake of talking, which gave us time to digest the information and the sites. Belogradchik is spectacular. We went on a busy day. I would recommend going during the week and not on a national holiday. Regardless, it's worth seeing not only for the historical significance, but also for the 360 views and rare rock formations. The Venetsa cave boasts magnificent calcite formations illuminated by colored lights. On the return, we stopped at a roadside stand with berries handpicked by a village family, with whom we had a lovely conversation. In all, a worthy experience!

Nice day but long drive - Plus: A friendly and punctual Guide (meeting point well described). Beautiful sights, the van is comfortable. Pros: no confirmation message the day before (while other companies do), very long trip (3h one way + 3h return) it would be nice to add a visit even quick on the way like a monastery or a church.

Unreliable and unresponsive tour company - If you plan to book a trip with this company, I suggest you do so at your own risk. If you look at their reviews for their various trip offerings, you will see that they have a pattern of canceling at the last minute. If you decide to give them a chance (like I did) and run to into any issues with your booking or have any questions for them - don’t expect to get a response. I wish I had just paid an additional $30 for this day trip and booked with a competitor. I suppose that $30 might have gotten me professionalism and responses to my inquiries.
