Great day tour from Sofia not to be missed! - Really great tour and guide. Easy to find the meeting point and very simple to book. The guide, Tuni, was really informative and took us to a lot of great places in the old town we might have missed, and gave us the history and background of Plovdiv and the buildings. He also gave great reccomendations for eating and where else to visit. 10/10 would reccomend

A hidden gem loaded with history - Beautiful city well worth a visit. This tour (from Sofia) is for one day, but you have plenty of time to explore the old town and the shopping area. Our guide (and driver) Maria, is a great professional and a very nice person. My wife and I were lucky enough to be seated next to her in the van, so we had a fantastic time on the road, as well as in the city.

Plovdiv, Make sure to book this day trip! - We booked a day trip to Plovdiv as heard great things about the oldest city in Europe! We met with our tour guide Tuni whom was very welcoming and friendly. We were very lucky to be in a group of 4 travellers. It was snowing so we knew it was going to be a full on day but was looking forward to learning about Plovdiv. Tuni drove us safely to Plovdiv and kept the van a good temperature as it was very cold outside. Upon arrival, Tuni introduced us to the city and gave us some interesting background history on Plovdiv. Then we spent the next few hours visiting various houses in the village, and learning about the rich culture. We enjoyed lunch at a great restaurant and also enjoyed a Turkish coffee in the afternoon. It was a great informative day and very interesting to learn about the history. The houses are beautiful and I highly recommend this trip. Thanks again to our tour guide Tuni!!

Great experience! - Tuni led our group around the city of Plovdiv with experience and sympathy, actively involving the group. The only flaw, that the time available after the part with the guide is very little. But great value for money!

Travel to Sofia - I was in Sofia for about 4 days in December with my family. I really liked the city, it is alive, there are many nice and cheap places to eat. Very nice Christmas markets. Beautiful churches. However, I recommend going in spring both to admire the beautiful mountain views of the surroundings and because in winter it does a lot even if with the snow it is all very impressive. I recommend the excursion to the monastery of Rila and the 7 lakes, also the one to do in spring, I did it with snow!

A Memorable Day Trip to Plovdiv: A Blend of History and Modern Charm - Plovdiv makes for an excellent side trip from Sofia, offering a captivating mix of history, culture, and scenic beauty. The journey takes about two hours each way; we left promptly at 9 AM (arrival was requested 40 minutes prior) and returned by 6 PM, making it a comfortable day outing. Be prepared for plenty of walking, with some uneven surfaces and slopes, as the Old Town is characterized by cobblestone streets and a slightly hilly terrain. The Old Town itself is a highlight, featuring fascinating historical ruins, beautifully preserved old mansions, and fantastic panoramic city views. The tour concluded at the modern Main Street, bustling with restaurants and shopping spots, making for a perfect blend of old-world charm and contemporary vibrancy. While the guide covered all the basics well, a more engaging storytelling approach would have made the experience even better.
