• Vitosha Mountain - A professional guide will take you from your hotel to Vitosha Mountain, where your hiking adventure begins. Vitosha is the first park established in Bulgaria and the Balkan Peninsula. The mountain’s territory includes Vitosha Nature Park, which features the most popular and scenic hiking routes. Additionally, you’ll get a bird’s-eye view of Sofia and enjoy a traditional Bulgarian breakfast.
• Boyana Church - After soaking in the natural beauty, you’ll return to Sofia to explore its ancient and historical landmarks. The first stop is Boyana Church, a medieval Bulgarian Orthodox church located on the outskirts of Sofia. In 1979, it was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List.
• National Museum of History - Finally, you’ll visit the National Museum of History. This is Bulgaria’s largest museum, founded on May 5, 1973. A new exhibition was opened in the Court of Justice building on March 2, 1984, to mark the 13th centenary of the Bulgarian state. In 2000, the museum was relocated to the former primary residence of the last communist leader, Todor Zhivkov, in Boyana. It houses over 650,000 objects related to archaeology, fine arts, history, and ethnography, although only 10% are on permanent display.
