A deeper look into Sofia, Bulgarians & especially their food - What a fascinating tour to get to know so much more about the Bulgarian people & their delicious food! Daniela was our amazing guide who shared her passion for Bulgarian food in a very natural & honest way. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone & especially those who enjoy food. Don’t be afraid if you have allergies or intolerances to food as this was an important consideration that was catered for.

Great! - Great way to get to know your way around the central part of Sofia and to check out places to eat that quite frankly you probably would not do so on your own if from out of town. Highly recommended.

Strolling through the food history of Bulgaria - Due to ideal circumstances (for us) we were the only ones taking the tour Sunday (04/08). This resulted in the undivided attention of the guide providing us with detailed information and making additional stops to requested places. Danny created an easy-going environment which made us prone to ask a lot of questions. The food-related history of Bulgaria came to life with each stop and bite that was offered to us. We felt like VIP's. I recommend this tour to be at the beginning of the trip so you can get to know Culinary Sofia in your first days in the city!

Amazing Food Tour in Sofia - We did the Market Food Tour with Daniela while visiting Sofia and it was awesome. First of all, the google coordinates that were sent to us on TripAdvisor were wrong, and we ended up a long way from where we should have been. Luckily, I was able to contact our tour guide, Daniela. She called us back and then sent us the correct coordinates, and she waited 20 minutes for us to arrive at the correct meeting spot! Talk about great service!! The tour itself was amazing! We sampled banitsa (a traditional pastry) which was absolutely delicious, Bulgarian soup, and ended the tour at a traditional Bulgarian restaurant with a full meal of a pork dish, potatoes, slaw and bread that was amazing!! We definitely did not need dinner after that meal! Daniela was very knowledgeable about Sofia and its history. Our first market was a flea market in downtown Sofia, which specialized in Bulgarian art, WWII memorabilia, traditional Bulgarian trinkets, etc. We also visited the Zhenski Pazar Women's Market, which had fantastic vegetables and fruits, as well as many other items. Daniela also took us to a street with traditional Bulgarian businesses where they make homemade clothing, etc. If you are looking for a food tour in Sofia that combines delicious food as well as history and markets, you should definitely do this tour! You will not be disappointed!!

Do this tour! - We absolutely loved this tour! Our tour was close to 4 hours and a highlight of our time in Sofia. We stopped for 3 smaller bites and ended with a meal at a traditional restaurant. We also went to 2 markets. Our guide was smart and informative and I felt like we really had a feel for Sophia by the end of it.
