From there, the journey continues to the Aleko hut area in Vitosha, marking the start of an exciting snow adventure. Participants will don snowshoes and set off towards the mountain’s highest peak, Cherni Vrah. The climb offers breathtaking views of the winter scenery and a panoramic view of Sofia from above. Upon reaching the summit, a cozy hut awaits, offering the chance to enjoy a cup of fragrant herbal tea. Before heading back to Sofia, the route passes through the renowned Aleko ski resort.

Vitosha Mountain is the crown jewel of Sofia. Discover its beauty by embarking on a one-day winter adventure with snowshoes to its highest peak, Cherni Vrah. During winter, the mountain provides breathtaking views, and from the summit, one can admire the panoramic view of Sofia and the Stara Planina mountain range beyond. On the opposite side, the sharp peaks of Rila Mountain are visible. The day will be spent in the crisp mountain air, enjoying herbal tea in cozy mountain huts.
