Truly incredible, a once-in-a-lifetime experience - Ra is one of the best, most genuine, honest and friendly tour guides that my friend and I had the good fortune of meeting during our three-week stay in Egypt. He's knowledgeable, forthright and profoundly down-to-earth. He grew up in the area, and has studied Egyptian hieroglyphs off and on for the past 20 years. Over a two-day period he took us through Colossi of Memnon, Valley of the Kings, the temple of Hatshepsut, Medinet Habu, the temple of Hathor at Denderah and the temple of Seti I / Ramses II at Abydos (including the Oseirion). We liked him so much that we actually canceled with another tour company that we had booked in advance and re-booked with him, instead. He went out of his way to ensure that we had an incredible experience, and he was extremely patient with us as we took thousands of photographs all around the sites. His command of English is impressive, and his passion for ancient Egyptian history and monuments is obvious. Whenever we return to Luxor, we won't work with anyone but him.
