Your adventure begins at 8 am, as the guide fetches you from your accommodation to embark on a journey to Wadi Al Abyadh. Here, the guide will point out the Moho discontinuity marking the transition between dunite and harzburgite rocks, constituents of the Samail Ophiolite’s mantle sequence and crustal rock. Next, you will travel to a Hot Spring, with picturesque farmlands along the way. Your journey will then take you to Nakhal Fort for a photo session. Your final destination is Wakan village, a picturesque settlement nestled at the base of the Hajar Mountains. The guide will discuss the ‘Snow Bowl’ theory and the formation of Diamictite and drop stones. Apart from its captivating geological features, the village itself is a sight to behold.
