A MUST do while in Mexico - This is a MUST go to park ! Everything is included. 4 different buffets to choose from. One was like a fast food kind. One was Italian. One was Mexican. One was breakfast. All delicious. The drinks were never ending. The bartenders even came up and stirred our frozen drinks when they started to seperate. There are so many things to do here that you cannot do them all in 1 day. We did the Snuba diving and Luis was an AMAZING teacher. Very patient. The kids LOVED this activity. I would go back to Tulum JUST to go back to this park ! We did an all inclusive hotel and didn't need to by going here.

Floating down the beautiful waters to biking around, endless food and drinks.. we had a great adventure. We would love to visit again when back in town.

Bucket list experiences and unforgettable memories - Wonderful visit. Had an excellent Xcaret guide on our transfer bus who gave good advice about how to organise and get the best out of our day.
We bought the picture package and the pictures were good.
Activities we did were the snuba cenote and manatee experience. Both were fantastic.
Snuba cenotes- Our guides Vidal and Francisco were excellent. Vidal was very professional and calm. He couldn’t be more helpful and reassuring. All equipment was included and the 20min briefing at the beginning was very clear. We got to 4m depth and were underwater for about 20mins. Whole experience took about an hour. The underwater cenote was incredible. The rays of sunlight dancing through the water was unforgettable.
Manatee experience- guides Sam and Jessie were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Flower and Rock were the two female manatees that we met. They appeared healthy, relaxed and comfortable with the guides. Their pool was very peaceful. It has inspired me to find out more about these endangered animals and how to help preserve them.
Tips: 1. Book your activities when you first go into the park
2. Book 2 or 3 activities maximum if you are only there for one day.
3. Take the train to the top of the river of life, it saved a lot of time
4. At the cliff jump when you come out of the mangroves on the river of life, have one person in your party guard your inflatables- ours got taken by snorkelers and we had to find replacements further downriver.
5. Some of the lockers can be tricky to open and close.

Xel has wonderful - I loved the park, very fun, exciting and we decided the pictures that so kindly the guys, Amin and Saul of their team, took us, they behaved amazing. The shots taken by the young man underwater are fabulous, I definitely recommend it and I presume my visit to the park. I will gladly visit you again.

Gorgeous location with lots to do. - We booked tickets directly through xcaret and then took the collectivo which was much cheaper then the all in tours.
We arrived at 0830 and had copies of our passport pictures on a phone for proof of ID.
We’d had breakfast so went straight to the top of the river and pretty much had the place to ourselves for the first hour as most of the visitors were in breakfast.
We stopped off to do some jumps along the way and snorkelled along for about 45 minutes.
We then did the caves and the water slides.
After some lunch we walked back to the mouth of the river but used the tubes this time. Much busier but still great.
Had about half an hour on the pontoon which was good fun.
We’d added bug spray and reapplied but still got eaten alive by the mozzies.
We also used reef safe Suncream and water shoes.
Xcaret have lots of offers on their website so worth signing up for alerts ahead of your visit. And if you are within about 10 miles of the resort, I’d do the trip independently.
We felt this was a fairly relaxing day but still did about 18000 steps - 15 km of walking and swimming.

Nice water park fun with or without kids - Very nice water park certainly nice with children but without children also great.
You still have a lot of separate things you can book but I think they are very expensive. Got a picture of the price tag.
We did buy a photo ticket with 4 people.
Here you can take pictures throughout the park. We have taken 106 pictures with your wristband scanning.
Food, drinks, towels and transfer is included.
However, you must bring your own sunscreen and you will get it back at the end.
There are also 3 restaurants and plenty of bars for drinking.
Floating on the lazy river, snorkelling or swimming in a cenote is all possible.
It's not cheap but for holidays it's worth it.

Top attraction and service! - The park had great variety of activities to do. The best is the unlimited snorkelling. We saw some incredible fish, swimming freely in the space.
Definitely an attraction to visit.
Our visit was topped by the service from our waiter Amonda in the brown cafe upstairs. He was welcoming, very friendly and accommodating. Such great service! Thank you Amonda!

All Inclusive Water Park - skip if you are focused on snorkeling - Xel-Há is an all inclusive water park in Tulum. If your main focus is snorkeling, this is not the place for you - you won't see many fish. We'd definitely do Xplor again (we did it in 2015 and 2027) as it has great ziplines, ATVs, water caves and same food buffet. For us Xel-Há was mostly worth it because the snuba caleta helped us prepare for scuba diving breathing.
It's pricey at over $900 for 4 people but it's an all day adventure including 3 meals: $114.99pp admission + $120 RT transport for 4ppl + $ $93.99 photo pass for 4 ppl + $54.99pp snuba caleta + fees + optional tips. You can save money by buying 7 days in advance and dropping the photo pass.
The transport bus picks up a few locations around Playa del Carmen PDC (Xel-Há does not help you figure out what location is closest to you or provide addresses of the pick locations). The drive from PDC to Xel-Há takes about 45 minutes.
You arrive, check in and get your park bracelet (which triggers most of the photos). Then walk to the main central area, get a locker and then wait for the Xula Vista restaurant to open at 9am. Remember while the water park opens at 8:30am, you left your hotel before 7am when the complimentary breakfast starts so you're starving. It is a huge "International" buffet of every kind of food you can think but there is no cooked to order (eggs). You will be assigned a table and waiter for beverages but the rest you get yourself.
There are bathrooms with showers and lockers located in almost every area of the water park - most notably missed from the zipline areas. You get a numbered key from a desk at the entrance - you will not get to pick the location of your locker. Smaller lockers are free and the larger lockers are an additional cost.
We biked, snorkeled, zip lined and went on water slide. Frustratingly most of the masks leaked and we did not see a lot of the fish as they were mostly hiding along the edges. Snorkels and fins must be checked out/in or you will be charged.
We had lunch at La Cocina del Pueblo to try the "Mexican and Regional Buffet." All the food is very good for buffet food and you will find something you like to fill a plate and your belly.
We booked the snuba caleta. There are 2 snubas in totally different areas of the park - cenote and caleta - so make sure you got the correct location. Snuba is like scuba diving but a group of you are connected to 1 air tank carried by your instructor. You take a swim around the main cove in mostly shallow water and they chum the water to get the fish closer to you. It was a good experience to help us get used to breathing equipment for scuba diving.
Closeby is the Scenic Lighthouse waterslide so we left our watershoes in unlocked lockers and starting hiking the131 feet up the stairs. It was a little bumpy as the slide seams could be felt and there's a bit of an unexpected drop at the end so I definitely got a little waterlogged.
We then grabbed some more snorkels and head out to the ziplining area. The zipline area has 3 different low ziplines bringing you back and forth over a small section of water. There are no lockers or snorkel gear desk here so if you have snorkel gear or tevas, most people just leave them on the dock nearby. Normally, this would not be a problem but someone. The staff changed during our ziplining and we think staff took our snorkel gear not our shoes. We had to go to the main desk and explain what happened and beg not to be charged; we were very lucky as a new staff member by ziplining backed our version that an exiting staff member probably took our snorkels otherwise we'd be charged I think $25 (could have been $35) for each unreturned snorkel.
We purchased the photo pass for almost $100 and were disappointed as many cameras did not work - none in the zipline area and none at the Lighthouse waterslide so we ended up with photos we triggered near the main area and then the snuba photos - none others.
We were pleased that we brought our own waterproof pouches from amazon before our trip $15 for a 4 pack and they worked great. They were selling them in the gift shop for way more (something like $15 each).
Overall the staff is generally very friendly and helpful.
