Would highly recommend and good value - We really enjoyed the Escape room experience, it was quite challenging and clever, even for my teenager who has completed quite a few other escape rooms. Georgina, our prison guard, was fantastic and really added to the experience. We needed a few clues and she was very careful to help but not too much. We liked doing the escape room in our own group, but racing against others doing it in their own cells. The self guided tour after was really interesting, and entertained two teenage boys who didn't want to get off their screens to come.

Enjoyed escaping the cell! - Really enjoyed the escape room. Georgina, the member of staff who escorted us to the cell was brilliant. She really got into character of a prison guard and made me jump a few times when she shouted, but she was very helpful during the 60 minutes, giving hints when we needed them and took our photo when we got out. Highly recommend! We had time for a self-tour around the prison afterwards, which was very interesting.

Fun experience! - We enjoyed the Escape Room, it was very well thought out and good fun. We paid £21 each and that included a self guided tour which was good value, we spent a good few hours here. Very interesting!

Thank you Georgina - This was a great experience and family orientated. Georgina was fantastic at being a prison guard, providing instructions for the escape room and providing help when needed. I recommend this, and also walking around the former prison.

Shepton Mallet Prison Experience on 14th August 2024 - Shepton Mallet Prison Experience on 14th August 2024 This was a fabulous trip out for my grandchildren and myself.!Georgina was the prison guard who scared us all at the beginning with her strict rules but who was so helpful in giving us clues and then took a family photo at the end. My grand children are 9 years and 14 yrs old and both got fully involved in the clues but sadly we could not solve them all and so did not escape from the locked cell! We also toured the prison and it was educational for them to learn so much about the life of criminals (and those imprisoned unfairly!) from centuries past.A section on the Kray twins and the suffragettes was particularly interesting. I would thoroughly recommend Sheptom Mallet Prison as a family experience to be enjoyed and praise Georgina for her acting ability in representing an authentic prison warden!

Epic Escapades - Our first ever escape room experience, and what an experience! From start to finish, our Guard Georgina was exceptional!!!!! Team work and some much needed brain work too 😂 Followed by a self guided tour of the whole prison, we cannot wait to return!!!!

Escaped from prison....Just - Fabulous experience! We booked the cell escape room. We arrived at the prison and we were ordered into a line and warned not to step out of it. Various other orders were shouted at us throughout the morning. We were then locked in a cell with the instructions that we had an hour to escape. This was great and we escaped with 1 minute to spare. We were then given free roam around the prison which was fascinating. Absolutely brilliant and highly recommend!

A great escape room - Great fun. The dark and handcuffs added an additional element of complexity! Tia was an excellent guard. All in all a lot of fun and a legit location for an escape room

We Escaped 'The Cell' - We've done a few Escape Rooms before, and this was unique for being in a real life prison cell which was still used until around ten years ago. It was led by a 'prison officer/guard' called Tia who played the part very well. The Escape is probably a touch easier than some others we've done (although we still needed a hint). The real benefit though is being able to make this a much fuller visit by the inclusion of a self-guided tour of the prison (some cells dating back to 1625, and many interesting information boards) - we took close to two hours wandering round and could still have spent longer. Good little coffee area too. Overall the whole visit was hugely enjoyable.
