Amazing must see place in Somerset - Wow what a day at Shepton mallet... we had the best day here... so full of history I love how you got free rain of the whole place... got lost a few times it definitely takes you back to old part of the prison... and the history that goes with it... in one part you go through a hole in the wall to cells that are over 400 years old... and you can feel the spirits in there... had a very very heavy feeling in there and so did my younger daughter... definitely worth going... and Jacob front of house was so friendly and told you everything in depth what you needed to know before you go through to the prison it sell... will be returning for the ghost night next year...

Great day out for the whole family - I’ve visited SMP a few times on overnight ghost hunts, but today I brought my two children along for an escape room and self guided tour. It did not disappoint! All staff were lovely and helpful, including the angry prison guard who locked us in for an hour! My son aged 11 loved learning about some of the history, and has asked to go back and do it all again. While my 8 year old daughter thoroughly enjoyed the Halloween trail which took us around the whole prison. We will definitely be back! Thankyou.

We escaped! - Very good day out! Will definitely be returning to do the other escape room ‘The Hole’ Will (the prison guard) made it feel an authentic prison experience! Feels like you’re genuinely about to be locked up! Also really enjoyed having a stroll around the rest of the prison after, not very often you get let loose to explore on your own, that made the whole experience even better. Ended up being there for a total of 3 hours (which flew by!) 10/10👍🏼

Interesting and insightful experience inside a prison! - Fascinating to o see the inside of the prison that closed relatively recently. The information boards really bring the reality of a historical prison to life. We enjoyed the escape room (despite arriving late, we were included and looked after) too. Lots of code cracking lateral thinking skills needed. It’s a bit grim to be having fun in a prison but we would highly recommend.

Great Experience- book it you will not be disapointed! - Excellent value for money. Will was our guide / prison officer and he was amazing! He was in character from start to finish. Great mix of clues to find and puzzles to solve. Both our groups managed to escape with one group only having 30 seconds left on the clock! Cant wait to go back and try the other three rooms!!

Cell escape - highly recommend - Did the cell escape today. Was really a brilliant experience and you can do a self guided tour after. The guard that took us to the cell was very in character Made us nervous and laugh at the same time ! Absolutely brill. Would recommend

Escape Room Experience - Booked this as a present to do with my adult nephews and niece and what a fabulous time we all had! A great experience run by a professional team of staff! Our prison guard for the Escape Room experience was called Will He was FANTASTIC! We All loved (and laughed quietly!!! ) from the onset at the Prison Guard telling off - it completely set the whole experience off with a brilliant start! He was superb! The Escape Room experience was amazing - the clues and subsequent solving kept us TOTALLY engaged from start to finish with plenty of laughter along the way! Thankfully our prison guard Will was able to give us a few clues along the way!! (And in character which I thought was just brilliant!!) Will also totally engaged us with some snippets of history after the experience. The price included a self guided tour after. But with the few stories Will told us, we were so enthralled that we felt we’d rather come back again and pay for a guided tour as we didn’t want to miss out on any of the stories or information that comes from that personal guided tour from the amazing staff! We absolutely loved it! And are already planning on booking the guided tour and to do the other Escape Room experience and to do the Ghost Tour Having lived in / around Shepton all our lives, was absolutely fascinating to see what lay behind those tall walls that we have passed every day for years and years …..and to have known so little of the history - it’s captivating! Cannot wait to get back for that guided tour! I have a feeling it will definately be worth going back for! Thankyou all for such a fab experience! Challenging but achievable a fun experience - We were a large group so split into 2 groups as max of 5 people per cell. One group managed to escape with plenty of time to spare, the other didn't! My daughter thought she could get a head start by googling escape tips, these were no help at all! Good mix of challenges to test you. You get to walk around and see the prison if you want to and would definitely recommend making the most of your visit. Very interesting. Small cafe if you fancy coffee and cake before or after your experience. Prison is Dog friendly but not in the escape rooms. Limited parking on the road right outside.

Book it! So worth it - We had a great time in the escape room....although we got locked in haha! Less by the lovely Will he was great and took the time after to talk to us. You can tell he has passion. It was such a great game and we want to come back for more experiences
