Arrival in Srinagar and Transfer to Sonmarg

Sonmarg - Upon arriving in Srinagar, transfer to Sonmarg. Check into the accommodation. Enjoy an overnight stay at the property.

Sonmarg to Srinagar

Srinagar - After breakfast, visit the Thajiwas Glacier (pony rides are self-payable). Depart for Srinagar, a journey of approximately 2 hours. On the way, visit Manasbal Lake. Upon arrival, check into the hotel. Enjoy a one-hour Shikara ride on Dal Lake at sunset, stopping at Char Chinar Island for a cup of Kahwa (a local tea made with saffron and dry fruits).

A Day in Srinagar

Srinagar - Return to the property for breakfast, freshen up, and prepare to visit the Shankaracharya Temple and Mughal Garden. In the afternoon, depart for a visit to Dachigam National Park by jeep. The park is home to Himalayan black bears and the Kashmiri Stag (Hangul), among other species. The mountains of Dachigam also provide a freshwater source for the entire town of Srinagar. Then, visit the Jama Masjid, passing by local sweet shops, wooden article vendors, and vegetable sellers to reach the mosque located on the shores of Dal Lake.

Drive to Pahalgam

Pahalgam - After breakfast, depart for Pahalgam (a 3-hour drive). En route, pass through the saffron fields at Pampore (flower visibility is possible in Oct-Nov). Stop at a shop for a hot cup of Kahwa and purchase some saffron. Pass by cricket bat workshops, as the best bats are produced in the valley. Visit the Martand and Awantipora temple ruins. Upon entering Pahalgam, drive along the Lidder River. Arrive in Pahalgam and check into the hotel. In the evening, enjoy a short walk in the market.

Drive to Gulmarg

Gulmarg - After breakfast, head towards sightseeing in Aru and Betaab Valley. In the afternoon, depart for Gulmarg (3.5 hours). Arrive and check into the hotel. En route, visit Drung Waterfall.

Gulmarg - Enjoy adventure sports today: ride the highest gondola in the world (all activities are self-payable). Spend the afternoon trying golfing at the golf course or visit Tangmarg village.
