The real Kashmir - paradise on earth! - This is the best trek we've done in India so far, surpassing Hampta, Goechala, Sandakhphu and Kuari Pass...... The organizers, Mehraz and his team were superb. We were received at the airport and then taken to Sonamarg , from where the trek began. Our guide and horsemen met us there, and the next few days were heaven on earth. fantastic views, beautiful landscapes and unbelievable lake vistas. The food though simple, was healthy and cooked well. Since we were just two, our guide Akhtar doubled up as a cook. The two others , Zakir and Sadaqat were very polite, helpful and always eager to help. Akhtar was patient, kept pace and had good conversations with us. They set up tents before we arrived each day at the camp site ensuring a smooth transition period. We felt taken care of. Towards the end , Sadaqat even went fishing and caught us some brown trout from the lake, which Akhtar cooked the final night. The equipment was satisfactory with some niggles with the inner zip of our tent which wouldn't close smoothly. However, the staff always came to help, and fixed that each time we called. The final day in Srinagar, they arranged a houseboat stay which was also a great experience. Overall, i would definitely hike again with KashmirTreks and Mehraz's team.

Truly a great trek. - Kashmir Great Lakes Trek is one of the best hiking trails in Srinagar Himalayas. I did it in October 23. It was a bit late in the season but thankfully we had a very good weather. It truly is something an accomplishment a multi-day trek.

Excellent Great Lakes Trail - We arrived Srinagar in September, being our first visit we decided to do a walking tour. Absolutely no regrets. A wonderful 7 days we spent with great company. We were met warmly by Shakeel who drove us to the basecamp. Mudasir our guide gave us an initial introduction and information about the trek, he was so informative and fun. A real character who had such a vast knowledge of the Himalaya and Kashmir heritage. We began our hiking trip the very next day. Its a moderate trek not easy one. We enjoyed a lot at a slow pace we mixed ourselves with the surroundings that helped us to acclimatize. We made so many stops and we were in no rush. The guide Mudasar picked great locations for overnight camps, it was so quite and peaceful. Well done Mudasar. Thank you for introducing us to Kashmir and It all means so much more to us now and we loved it.

Greatest Holidays - Great Lakes Trek is the most beautiful experience of my stay in India. I did this beautiful trek in September. And it really did not disappoint. I was very lucky the sky was clear and the sunset everyday was so beautiful. My Guide Adil was super lovely, very talkative and caring. I was picked up at 7.30am from the Srinagar airport and had a lovely smooth drive to the Sonmarg. I was met my guide there who took me on the trek, the logistics everything was ready. I am a solo female traveler and felt very safe, Adil was lovely and very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna, I got to experience some of the best mountain scenery once I was up in the meadows near the twin lakes. It was Magical. I’d highly recommend booking a tour with these guys.

Great Lakes of Kashmir - When it comes to trekking there's no match to Kashmir. It provides everything, beautiful landscapes, endless and colorful meadows, icy-water streams and plenty of high altitude lakes. Great Lakes is a perfect alpine trail.

poor quality - 1. Poor mountain guide: Liyakat Ahmad has an unstable personality, loves to take pictures (take pictures of himself first), walks very fast, and only slows down after being reminded but will not get very close to you. He is very talkative and very loud when you want to rest quietly in the tent. You will be asked a lot of private and disrespectful questions on the first day. He has so many flaws. 2. The tent zipper keeps breaking. 3. The sleeping bag is not warm and the blanket is thin
