Great family day out - What a great day with Sara and Enzo. They couldn’t have made the day more fun with a mix of knowledge and humour. Fantastic lunch at the bottom of Mt Vesuvius and some limoncello tasting thrown in as well. We had a great guide at Pompei who easily switched between English and Italian. All in all well worth joining this trip if you’re in Sorrento.

Our tour guide was very... - Our tour guide was very professional and knowledgeable. He provided us a history lesson mixed in with a little humor. I would definitely recommend this tour and Viator. We had a discrepancy with a tour and they promptly remedied the situation.

Worth every penny! - Before booking this tour, I researched so many different options and ways to see Mount Vesuvius and Pompeii, before landing on this tour. Sarah was an incredible guide, with such lovely warmth and energy, she made the trip really enjoyable. First stop was the volcano, followed by a small limoncello stand where we sampled some delicious local liqueurs, followed by lunch and then Pompeii. Pompeii is massive and we covered a lot with our lovely guide, Anna. I felt I saw everything I needed to but also learnt so much from Anna who was a very knowledgeable expert to have leading us around the site. You may think you can do both of these things by yourself, but I think it’s worth it to pay the bit extra to have it mapped out for you and make it stress free. Plus it’s a great way to meet people on the tour. Couldn’t recommend this tour highly enough. Thank you Sara and Anna for such a great experience.

Fantastic Pompeii/Vesuvius tour - ticks all boxes - I would highly recommend this experience to anyone wanting a Vesuvius/Pompeii tour. Sara was a fabulous and very funny tour guide, and Vincenzo an amazing driver! Both were kind, considerate and made sure we all had everything we needed. We boarded the bus in the morning, traveled to Vesuvius and were left to walk up and down at our leisure. We then stopped at a lovely shop where we were given tastings of limoncello and chocolate (lots of interesting types). Then we had a lovely lunch of pizza at a nearby restaurant. Finally we traveled to Pompeii and received a fantastic tour of the main highlights by Elena. She was a wonderful and interesting guide. This tour was well organised, the whole day was taken care of and you had nothing to worry about. Sara gave us water and checked in with us throughout the day. Vincenzo always made sure we got on and off the bus safely. The only (only) negative thing I would mention is how often our guide requested we leave a 5* review. I am always happy to do this, and would always do so if asked (once or twice) at the end of a tour. I am leaving a 5* review now because of my true feelings - I would 100% recommend this tour to family or friends and think it's really worth the price. However, it does make me slightly less inclined to do so if I am asked so many times to leave a 5* review. Despite this - I could not have asked for a nicer tour. I do highly recommend it.

Tour of Pompeii/Vesuvius picked up at Vico Equense. - Booked via Be-IT point Vico and got picked up a Vico Equense Station. Great tour and really informative. Excellent tour rep, Sara who was ever so friendly and humorous and driver, Vincenzo was equally as friendly too. The guide (Elena) at Pompei was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Many highlights to the tour but loved the surprise stop to try limonocello liqueur, learning about bread lemon and little magnet gift which was a lovely souvenir of our time in Pompeii. Highly recommend the tour and best tour guides. Prepare for the heat and walking especially up to Mount Versuvius.

A relaxing informative day well spent visiting Vesuvius and Pompeii and being looked after by Sara - Hi we had the most enjoyable start to our visit to the Amalfi Coast - the tour was excellent and Sara was a great ambassador and provided knowledge of both Vesuvius and Pompeii and was very helpful and fun to be with - The pizza lunch was amazing (and that s from someone who doesn't eat pizza!) and everyone enjoyed the stop at the Lemoncillo shop - I would def recommend this trip - being a small number was also an added bonus - Sara welfare for the group made the trip a success

Unforgettable visit - She will be super nice and prepared. Hiking to Vesuvius requires walking uphill about 15/20 minutes on steep terrain.

Pompeii and Vesuvius tour - The Pompeii part was good,we had an excellent Pompeii guide in Elena who was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of information. The Vesuvius part was not as good as we were only given an hour and a quarter there,it was at least 25 minutes to climb up to the crater from the coach and 25 minutes back.As a result, I just managed to get to the end of the crater, while my partner gave up as she did not feel she had enough time to do it All in all too rushed,a couple of hours should have been given, which was what was indicated in the original itinerary. Sarah the tour guide was okay but could have given us a bit more information,we believe she hadn't done many tours before so somewhat understandable.

Read this review before you book - The tour guide and driver are very nice people & are not to blame for the following review: VESUVIUS HIKE: - it’s advertised you get 2 hours 10 minutes…. This is EXTREMELY misleading as they count the time it takes for the bus to get to Vesuvius, which took about an hour. Once you get off the bus, you literally have ONE hour to hike up a steep incline for about a mile, take pics, then walk back. My wife and I are avid hikers and it took us 20 mins to ascend and about 15 mins to descend (the gravel is small & loose so you have to walk slowly on the descent or you are prone for spraining you ankle on the trail) so that left us 15 mins to take pics at the top of Vesuvius and barely 5 or so mins to souvenir shop… All this to say the hike is VERY rushed & could have been so much more enjoyable had we had 2 hours & 10 mins to hike as advertised. We had normal people on the tour that literally made it to the top & had to immediately turn around with no time to take pics or souvenir shop. Pompeii: They combine your group with another group, so now there’s around 30 people with you in Pompeii. It took so much time to properly combine the groups which directly impacts the amount of time you have exploring Pompeii. The guide rushes you through the main parts of Pompeii leaving zero time for pics. We had to separate ourselves from the group to take pics then catch up to the guide to avoid getting lost because Pompeii is huge. In summary, I’d find a better tour than this.
