Well worth a visit and definitely do a guided tour! - This was a great tour and well worth the money. We were about to buy a train ticket from Sorrento and thought we’d just walk around ourselves but the rep at the station was very informative and we are so glad we took her advice and booked the walking tour. The guide was lovely, spoke perfect English and was very interesting. We had little ear pieces so we could hear him clearly. The Pompeii Ruins are fascinating. It’s a lot bigger than I realised so make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes! A lot of it can be tricky to walk on and some elderly people struggled a bit. But I highly recommend visiting and definitely do a guided tour!

Good information. - This was a very informative tour of Pompeii and the headphone made it easy to hear the guide, even in such a large group walking over a big distance. She explained things well to understand life in an ancient Roman city.

Well Guided. - The reception when we reached Pompeii station was well organised. We were directed straight to the Tourist Office and handed over to a young lady who helped us get an entrance ticket then introduced us to the guide. She explained the entry process and an added bonus is that we all got eat pieces which enabled us to hear her presentation throughout. It was hard going because of the intense heat but the guide chose shaded places when possible for the stops along the way. Definitely worth taking the tour and you are free to stay on afterwards to visit more areas. We took in the Collusium.

Excellent service and a fantastic guide at Pompeii. An easy and fascinating way to experience Pompeii. - We booked out tour the day before at the Tempio Travel office at the train station at Sorrento. The service was so helpful there and the price was very reasonable. On the day, our guide was fantastic. So knowledgeable about Pompeii and it’s fascinating history. Everything went so smoothly and it was an excellent way to see some of Pompeii.

Excellent tour, amazing place! - Really enjoyed this tour - the perfect length to enjoy seeing the main sights of Pompeii. The tour guide was funny and knowledgable and told us so many things we would never have going out without having a guide. The group was relatively small and the pace wasn’t too fast. Plenty of opportunities to take pictures and ask questions. So glad we decided to go with the two hour walking tour as we found out so much and ensured we learnt more about this interesting place. Thank you!

Well Worth The Extra - We headed to Sorrento train station to try to work out how to get to Pompell ourselves which in all honesty would have been really easy, however without our guide from tempio travel we would have had no idea what we were looking at as pretty much everything looks the same unless you know what to look for. We spoke to the girl from tempio travel at the train station and she outlined the tour and suggested to do it the following day. There is also an old railway carriage next to the tempio travel stand that is the official tourist information so there is no need unless you want to, to take the tour but I imagine in the summer it is a godsend for the skip the queue part. Anyway we were given return train tickets, walking tour tickets and wristbands so we could be identified when we came off the train and were shepherded upstairs to await the guide. We were then taken across the road, separated into two groups and off we went. The tour guide explained she would be with us for 2 hours and then we would be free to spend as long as we liked within Pompeii. She was very informative, gave us maps and explained where we were in Pompeii and when it came time to leave us, pointed us in the direction of the artefacts, the restrooms and the snack bar which was very reasonable for food, unusual for a place with a captive audience I thought. Pompeii was even more interesting than I imagined it to be and I thought it was well worth it.

Great tour, but poorly organised prior to commencement. - Great tour. However, rating reflects the booking process. The tour did not start at the advertised meeting place or time. The start time was at Pompeii and after booking we were told to be at the meeting place 2.5hours prior despite the company having an office at Pompeii. Recommend others book directly and engage with the office at Pompeii Scavi. Recommend the company update their instructions to reflect the actual times and places.

Couldn't organise a pass up in a brewery - Terrible customer service at Pompeii. Customer service with attitude. Trains from Sorrento worse than Northern Rail. We were told the tour would last 2 hours...it lasted an hour. We also had a clarity to find the guide and then joined another group which was nearly 30 people. There was no speedy line. Took the best part of 20 kins to get in and there isn't the large crowds. Seriously save your money and visit without a guide.
