The best tour ever! - Absolutely amazing experience! Pick up from the hotel in Sorrento on time, knowledgeable Pompei tour guide, lots of wine and food, limoncello, meloncello,.. :) at the amazing wine tasting place! And drop off at the hotel back in Sorrento! We couldn’t have asked for more!

A perfect day - A perfect day out. We would likely recommend anyone thinking of visiting Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius to consider this trip. It is a little more expensive than other trips you might see or perhaps if you decide to do it yourself. We have chatted to other guests at our hotel who went to Pompeii on the same day, we think they regretted not booking this tour. There were only about 12 on our tour, which was about right. Pompeii was full of larger tour groups of about 30-40 people, which seemed too big. We were really well looked after. The customer service staff online were really very pleasant and helpful. They provided useful instructions once booked. The drivers picked us up from our hotel (20 mins early, not a criticism as he waited patiently) and dropped us back at our hotel in the evening. They were friendly, chatty, but careful drivers. The Pompeii guide was keen to show us what she felt were the most impressive finds we could view within our time limitations being a huge site. Don’t expect to see everything on your bucket list as you won’t have the time. Again our guide was friendly, funny and knowledgeable. A good pair of walking shoes, water and protection from the sun are important. If you are travelling there independently to meet at Pompeii rather than using the transfer minibus please try to make sure you do arrive early as the instructions request, we had to wait for late comers before we could start the tour. It rained at the Mount Vesuvius wine tasting/ restaurant. You eat in an area covered with grapes hanging from vines. The rain and thunder added to the experience in a good way. The restaurant staff were excellent, friendly and very attentive. At the end of the meal we bought a bottle of wine, some arranged for cases to be shipped home. Our co-ordinator at the restaurant was lively and looked after us really well, taking us to our transportation back to the hotel. The treatment we had was exceptional and it was really the best trip I have ever been on. Very good value for money. I recommend this experience by Taste the Experience through Viator.
