Captivating and forever memorable - Our guide Vincenzo was wonderful- friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Pompeii itself was fascinating and so impressive. Although the walk was a bit challenging for 70 year old folks, Vesuvius was sobering and captivating in its raw beauty.

Eugenio Rocks! - We had an amazing tour from Sorrento to Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius with Eugenio as our guide! Eugenio was fantastic – super knowledgeable and really friendly. He made the whole trip smooth and enjoyable, sharing interesting facts and stories along the way. His passion for the area really came through, and he kept everything well-organized and fun. If you’re looking for a great day trip from Sorrento, I highly recommend going with Eugenio!

Brilliant tour guide for Pompei & Vesuvius - Brilliant tour guide Desiere, very knowledgeable and witty. Kept the kids age 15 and 12 entertained too. Pompei too hot for an August visit but she expertly worked around that.

Excellent Pompeii guide and Wonderful Chauffeur! - Our family of four spent the day with Fabio who drove us in a comfortable vehicle to Pompeii. We picked up Paola, our Pompeii guide along the way. Fabio gave us background information of the area during the drive. He was a safe driver and very professional. We spent 2-3 hours at Pompeii where we skipped the lines and learned about the city and it’s buildings and special findings all along. Paola was knowledgeable and an all around great guide. After Pompeii, Fabio brought us to a cute terrace cafe overlooking Sorrento and Naples on the way to Vesuvius. We spent 1.5 hours at Vesuvius where we climbed to il gran cone. Such a site to see! On the way back to our hotel, Fabio shared some more personal stories of the area and treated us to one of the local treats (so good!). It was a perfect day. Highly recommend.

Good service - During my tour, which was well organized, I lost my credit card. The organization had found him. This was later issued at a coffee shop in Naples. My thanks are great.

Amazing day visiting the incresible Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius - We had an incredible day visiting the amazing Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius with this tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and our driver was great. Highly recommmended.

GREAT TOUR GUIDE but suboptimal driver more concerned about his time than his passengers - First, I would have given a five (5) star review if I was reviewing ONLY the private tour guide Vincenzo Paduano. He was extremely knowledgeable and personable. He was able to explain the history of Pompeii in exacting detail that brought life to the ruins.
Then our driver, who hardly spoke to us at all except to greet us at the pickup site of our hotel, drove us to Mt Vesuvius.
THE DRIVER THEN DROPPED US IN THE PARKING LOT OF MOUNT VESUVIUS AND TOLD US WE HAD ONLY ONE HOUR TO COMPLETE THE CLIMB AND RETURN TO THE PARKING LOT. I’M 65 AND IN GOOD SHAPE, BUT THE OVERT THREAT OF LEAVING US IN THE PARKING LOT WAS OBVIOUS. THE TIME AT Mt VESUVIUS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE 2 HOURS. A 30- 45 MINUTE CLIMB UP and 20-30 OBSERVATION AT THE SUMMIT THEN A 20-30 min DESCENT would be sufficient.
We were just short of the caldera when my 45 minute timer went off. We immediately turned around and entered the parking lot at the 65 minute mark. Just in time for the driver to arrive.
