A must visit whilst in Sorrento - This is a great compact and interactive museum with a guide provided for €13. It lasts approximately an hour. If you are visiting for the day or here for longer you can fit this in easily. Very interesting and informative with interactive experience of volcanic eruption

Perfect - This was so good ! My teenage son and I felt like we stepped into another world with our wonderful guide and creator , he was fabulous and completely engaged. It was really something, loved the experience

Take a step back in time - This is an excellent way to experience the fascinating history of Sorrento. A small museum in a 2000 year old space designed and built by the gentlemen on the ticket counter, you can ‘meet’ the people from history who shaped the city over the years. You can also experience the 79 AD eruption of Vesuvius! Well worth a visit.

A unique and fascinating place - We booked to visit here on a rainy afternoon based on the TripAdvisor ratings. What a great move it was. The staff were welcoming and seemed genuinely gratefully for our business, which is rare these days. The tour guide was so lovely and clearly passionate about doing her job well. We all really enjoyed the exhibition, even our teenager (which really says something). It was fascinating to hear, see and feel all of the stories coming to life in front of us. Fantastic value for money, and just the right length of time too.

Everyday is a learning day at the Museo - Lasting 1 hr, this audio visual guided tour of the history of Sorrento was very interesting and provided excellent info on the many facets that make the Sorrento of today. Situated in the original crypt of the Church, it is very atmospheric. Good information on the many people who have visited, made their mark or been influenced by Sorrento.

Worth a visit - Very interesting and informative. Worth a visit. Information was clear and special effects impressive. Our children are adults. I don't think the exhibition would be interesting for under 10 years of age.

Unexciting and overpriced - Very disappointing and overpriced. The tour wasn’t particularly informative and I’m afraid to say it was pretty boring. It was 13 euros for half an hour of being lead around in the dark to look at various uninspiring video clips. I would not recommend this and am shocked to see so many good reviews on here.

Disappointing - My family came with an appetite to learn about the history of Sorrento but left underwhelmed and having not learned much. The visit consists of being led around a series of incongruent multimedia snippets. The model of Sorrento in 1900 was quite charming and the eruption simulator was atmospheric, but not much more can be said to the museum’s credit, I’m afraid.

Save your money - The guide was good but it was pretty much all in one room. Lights just turned on and off the spotlight different displays. Really not much to see. Not as I expected from the listing

Wierd - Really poor value for money. The strangest collection of non- related stories and at 13 euros each for less than 30 minutes expensive, even by sorrento standards
