Outstanding Tour! - The Taste of Sorrento food and wine tour was excellent. The Gourmet Girls put on a superb event. From the wine to the information to the food - everything was great! And the amount of food (and wine) was overwhelming so pace yourselves! We had a really wonderful time.

You will love this progressive food tour! - This was the most enjoyable tour we have taken. We booked the tour after listening to Leigh talk on an episode of the podcast Untold Italy. We loved the humor with which Leigh spoke of her experience moving to Sorrento from Scotland. We knew the tour would be so much fun because just listening to Leigh on the podcast was a delight.
We were met by friends Vanessa, an equally lovely Brit, and Leigh. Both ladies came to Sorrento, met their husbands, and never looked back.
We visited local establishments that are in Vanessa and Leigh's neighborhood. Each restaurant was wonderful, welcoming, and served the most delicious food and local wine. We also met four other couples from the UK, US and Canada. Vanessa and Leigh ate with us and talked about the regional cuisine and seasonal foods.
This wonderful tour had the vibe of being with a group of friends that you haven't seen in years, with everyone relaxing and laughing once the wine starts to flow. For us, this was truly a five -star experience. Thank you Vanessa and Leigh.

Sophisticated and Family Friendly - Vanessa and Lee hosted the perfect evening for our first night in Sorrento. We loved how every detail was focused on Sorrento centric food, wine, and local living. We wanted to do a food and wine tour, but with our tween and teen kids. Vanessa and Lee made them feel beyond included and I believe both boys were a bit misty-eyed when the evening ended. The food and wine choices were delicious and well-rounded from gourmet comfort food to simple local go-to's. We have recommended this tour to everyone who asks us about our vacation.

Get your taste buds ready. - We meet the Gourmet Girls at the appointed time at the fountain at the train side of the Piazza. Check-in was by name and off we started with a small entourage to our first “taste” of a small but excellent Parma ham and cheese sandwich with local
Olives and a taste of a fizzy chilled red that was similar to a lumbrusco, but a local famous wine made in a small pasta town just to the north of Sorrento. We made our way to the next stop and had pane di pizza which was tasty along with a beer. We then arrived for the main meal that included a great antipasti and the eggplant parmigiana. We made our way afterwards for a sweet and coffee. There were 4 stops altogether and I am glad there were not 5 as I doubt I could eat more. Highly recommend.

Gourmet Girls….a fantastic experience! - Gourmet Girls was an amazing evening and experience!! Vanessa and Lee were both extremely knowledgeable and very informative with the food, wine, and the local area. The restaurants we visited were welcoming and delightful….The food and wine we experienced were amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and highly recommend for anyone wanting to get immersed into the local culture, cuisine, and lifestyle of Sorrento!

Enjoyable and tasty evening in Sorrento. - Enjoyable and tasty tour of Sorrento. The hosts were very personable and we enjoyed learning more about Italian cuisine. Their choices of restaurants and dishes were impeccable. The other guests were very nice and we enjoyed chatting with them. Overall, a very pleasurable evening and we recommend it!

Great experience of foods, wines and friendship. Wonderful way to experience and support the neighborhood businesses. - Our family had a great time with Vanessa and Lee on their tour. We visited four restaurants and experienced wonderful dishes and wines. They are both very knowledgeable and provided deep insights into the history of the foods we shared. However, best if all was the wonderful laughs we shared. Vanessa and Lee are quite a due and shared many great stories with us. You can tell that they truly enjoy their work and friendship and strive to make you part of their family. I would highly recommend the experience to others.

A must for experiencing authentic local cuisine - Every trip my wife and I take abroad we always plan for a local food tour. Its our way to experience a true emersion into local culture. After all isn't a culture greatly influenced by its cuisine.
After doing some research I chose the Gourmet Girls and am so pleased we did.
Since the girls live locally we were treated to specialties from small businesses away from the typical tourist areas.
The girls mixed historical tid bits presented with such genuine passion, humour and love for their local community.
Please dont miss this experience. Thank you girls for such a memorable experience.
