Do this tour!! You’ll love it! - Yesterday, we had an amazing walking food tour in Sorrento on our first full day here, and I can’t recommend it enough! Our guide, Giovanni, was incredibly kind and had such a calm and welcoming vibe throughout the entire tour. He took us to several local spots where we got to try traditional foods from the Sorrento and Naples region, and every single stop was a delight. We started off by trying Baba, a cake soaked in rum that was delicious and so different from anything I’ve had before. Then, we visited a local deli, where we sampled fresh cheeses, salami, and a unique hard biscuit with roasted almonds that I absolutely loved. One of the highlights for me was the gnocchi at a charming restaurant—it was hands-down amazing! The tour continued with a limoncello tasting, and then we finished with coffee, lemon delight, and sfogliatella, a perfect sweet ending. Each stop was fantastic, but what made the tour extra special was Giovanni’s knowledge and personal touch. He gave us great insights into the foods we were tasting and also stopped by different historical landmarks to share interesting facts about Sorrento’s history, which was a wonderful bonus. Giovanni also took the time to have personal conversations with each person in the group, making the experience feel even more personalized. He was genuinely warm and attentive, and that made the tour even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and Giovanni was the perfect guide—calm, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. If you’re in Sorrento, this tour is a must!

Walking food tour in Sorrento - This is a must! I only wish I would have done it early on in my trip to learn about Sorrento’s history and the wonderful places to eat. Vins Russo was a great tour guide. He grew up in Sorrento, so knows it well. It’s a terrific introduction to the specialty foods of Sorrento!

Locale food insights at its' best - Loris was fantastic! We were unsure how the tour would go but soon realised it was a great fit. Plenty of great conversations and some lovely places we would never had noticed had we not done it. Certainly changed out perspective on food as arguably the best gnocchi in a lovely quite part of Sorrento. Highly recommend!

Great Food and a Great Time - My husband and I had a wonderful food and culture experience with Giovanni. The limoncello was exquisite and the gnocchi was to die for. He is a very personable guide that definitely knows the best spots for a variety of foods native to Sorrento. One of the best tours that we have had during our two week trip in Italy.
