Puerto Plata tour - Amazing experience and guides. Our driver and guide were very personable, accommodating and great attention to us and our needs. Umbrella street and the baby money was by far the best experience for us to visit. Only downfall was that the bus did not exactly accommodate 8 plus size people and a wheelchair as indicating it would even after several times asking. Although we were stuffed in like sausages, it was definitely a memorable experience for everyone with a lot of laughter.

Private tour of Puerta Plata🏝 - Guide Felipe and driver Anthony (name?) were prompt, knowledgeable, and professional. We got to see all the places listed on the tour and even enjoyed an hour on a beautiful beach per our request. It was quite hot that day, and they made sure to provide water for us. Felipe took photos of us the whole tour. We learned alot about DR. We especially enjoyed Ambar Museum, buying beautiful pieces of jewelry. We highly recommend this private tour! You will be glad you booked!!

GREAT COMPANY! - Our tour guide Tony was great with getting us around town safely and timely. We decided to cut some of the tour time out of our day like the rum factory, we aren't rum drinkers and had our 13 and 9 year old who were bored within the first 5 minutes so we texted Tony to let him know we were coming back to the van. In the future I'd contact them to create my own itinerary We didn't care for the coffee and chocolate place, it was just a few plastic chairs and a short speech on how they source it followed by an area for you to buy things. We didn't get to do the cable car to the mountain with the statue or to see the big homes like the tour itinerary said so we were a little sad by that. We loved the food at the restaurant he took us to it was so good. Overall we enjoyed the tour, just sad we didn't get to do the entire itinerary even though we cut time out from a few of the other places.

BOOK THIS COMPANY!! YOU WONT REGRET IT!! - This tour was AMAZING! From start to finish I have nothing but great things to say about this company. Michael did an excellent job on communicating with me from the moment I booked this tour. Once we arrived in Puerto Plata I was able to reach him with ease and locate our tour guide Anthony (Tony) and he was outstanding. He took us on the best tour, explained so much about the beautiful Island and made our experience so fun. He made us laugh, gave us historical information on landmarks, and took the BEST photos of us. I will absolutely recommend them to EVERYONE who visits here and I will definitely tour with them again the next time we return to DR.

Puerto Plata with locals.. less history. - Neo and Philippe couldn’t have been nicer! Their instructions on how to meet them and get started were perfect. They had cold water and coke available (it was hot!) for us. Neo was primarily the driver and Philippe was the guide who got out of the van with us. Philippe’s English was good but he also spoke so fast sometimes we had to ask him to repeat at lot (he didn’t mind at all!) Philippe took a ton of pictures for us which was nice. We got a little bit of history and culture but it wasn’t a history-filled learning experience. It was more of a nice drive around puerto plata with some locals. If you want a history lesson you may want to request someone specifically who is a history person. Would still recommend them if you’re interested in seeing puerto plata with locals.

Advertising scam - I was excited about this tour given all the excellent reviews. I gave this 3 stars because our driver Neo was very kind. However, I would not recommend this tour. First, most of the stops were marketing ploys with the venders only adversing their products. They would show a few pictures of “coffee making process” and then go on to advertise their coffee or chocolate products. Something similar with the amber museum experience. The guide would follow me around the shop as I was looking at jewelry, then made a visibly disappointed goodbye when we did not buy anything. Friendly at first, then rude when she realized we would not be buying their products. The cable car was closed for renovations, which was fine, but we were promised a more scenic route and beach stop. The scenic route was the same way to the stops, and the beach we stopped at was very smelly and subpar compared to the beaches in Cabarete. We were not taken to anywhere with breath taking panoramic views as promised in the description. Lastly, we opted not to go to the restaurant that when we looked up, seemed to have subpar food and seemed to have agreements with the taxi. The driver continued to push despite us saying no several times, even offering a stop at McDonalds, which I hope was not directed at our because we were Americans. I would not recommend this tour as it was just an advertisement for products. It is nice if you’d like to get out of Cabarete to see Puerto Plata, but it was not worth the $160 and I felt idiotic for believing these excellent reviews which were probably written by the company themselves.
