Great guide in a remote rainforest - John was an excellent guide and extremely knowledgeable about local history, plants, and animals. He helped us identify many species of birds, including the parrots. He also threw in a bonus treat, stopping off at a stand on the way back for some fresh coconut.
Had a great experience, highly recommend.

Excellent - Had a wonderful trip with John who was friendly and very knowledgeable. We booked a trip to walk the des cartes trail with the aim to see local fauna and flora and it didn’t disappoint. John is able to point out the birds nearby by the sound of their birds song, he even pointed out a Boa (at a distance luckily 😁)which I still have no idea how he did it. John made the travel to and from trail very interesting too. Had a great day and would thoroughly recommend booking a trip with him. Many thanks John for making one of ours days on St Lucia a very memorable one! Will n H

Bird watching and rainforest hike - We had a great tour with our guide John. We saw many birds including the parrots. John also took us to a secluded waterfall and let us try some local food. I would definitely recommend doing a tour with John.

An all round great day in the rainforest with an amazing guide - Our private tour to the rainforest in St Lucia’s interior was brilliant from start to finish. John collected is from our hotel in a comfortable and spacious vehicle. As we travelled to the rainforest he shared his knowledge as a local, stopping off at a couple of local villages to show us local foods, crafts and viewpoints. It is great to book a tour with a local rather than through hotels or tour operators knowing the money goes straight into the community who have had it hard with the lack our tourists during covid.
Our guided walk in the rainforest was enriched by John’s huge knowledge of the local plants, birds and wildlife. He shared his knowledge generously whilst giving us time to take it all in. The highlight was a sighting of the St Lucian parrot that would never have happened without our guide.
Top tips for the rainforest would be to take good shoes, bug spray and camera and binoculars. You might also take lunch as this is a remote area but food is available at the waterfall on the way back from the tour.

Not quite what we were expecting.. - This is a difficult review to put together. On the one hand we had an excellent bird watching / trekking experience with Alfred who shared his knowledge of birds and plants.5/5 ..
However we do take issue with the description of the trip. We viewed it on Trip Advisor and based on the itinerary we decided to book it. In all honesty it was extremely misleading the description sated tat we would be visiting a waterfall, a rum distillery and also that we would have the opportunity to swim at
Marigot Bay. We did none of the above which was really disappointing.
Our other concern was that it was not made particularly clear that we would have to pay an extra fee for the birdwatching. Consequently we had insufficient funds to cover the cost though to be fair our driver took us to a cash point in order to solve the problem.
All in all we feel that considerable improvements could be made in order to create a better customer experience.

Bird Watching! - The Weather was perfect and our Guide was Perfect! Unfortunately they were building a Gazebo type building and using a Chain Saw. Even though our guide asked them to stop they did not...Hence we saw only a few types of birds :-/

They never turned up - They never picked me up. After waiting for 30 minutes I called them, and they claimed they never had a booking in the first place. (I had a confirmed Viator booking and a ticket.)
They said I could go the next day, but it would cost another USD120 for a solo booking. This is on top of the Viator price, and not including the additional fees that everyone else comments on. They said they need 4 people in a booking before they will run it at the Viator price. So I wasted a day of my holiday.
Unless you are doing a group booking, I would avoid this company

No one showed up - I didn't go on the tour.
I had a confirmed booking from Viator for one person. I waited for 30 minutes for the pickup. When no one showed, I called the tour operator, and they said they had no bookings for that day. They did offer to take me the next day, but because it was a solo booking, it would cost USD120 extra, on top of what I had already paid. Apparently they need a minimum of 4 people before they will run the tour.
I am awaiting a refund from Viator.
