On the surface tour visitors will see the big hole, the shaft and the diamond room where a selection of uncut diamonds and replicas of world-famous diamonds are displayed. It is advisable to wear comfortable shoes as a fair amount of walking is involved.

I was looking for a tour which would... - <p>I was looking for a tour which would give me more of a background of diamond mining in South Africa and it definitely lived up to my expectations. My tour guides, especially the driver Adriaan - spelling??, did a great job of providing the history and culture of the region around the diamond mine. With it being just a half-day tour, it fit in well with my busy and limited travel schedule while in South Africa. The driver's professionalism and prompt service was also greatly appreciated.</p>
