Highlights
  • Cape Town - Pick up from your accommodation
  • Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden - Enjoy a guided tour of one of the world’s first botanical gardens. Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden features over 7,000 plant species from Southern Africa. Explore the 1,300-acre (528-hectare) gardens on the slopes of Table Mountain, which include extensive hiking trails, a stone sculpture garden, and sunset summer concerts.
  • Groot Constantia - Known for its rich wine culture and scenic vineyards, the Western Cape of South Africa owes its origins to Groot Constantia. As the oldest wine estate in the country, Groot Constantia offers tours of its winemaking facilities, historic manor house, museum, and surrounding grounds. Visitors can also taste their renowned dessert wines and enjoy lunch.
  • Buitenverwachting - Located on the east-facing slopes of the stunning Constantiaberg and just 12km from False Bay, this beautiful farm was originally part of the Constantia Estate, founded by Simon van der Stel, the first Governor of the Dutch colony at the tip of Africa.

First sold as a 200 morgen sub-division to Cornelis Brink in 1773, Buitenverwachting changed hands frequently. Despite this, it thrived as a wine farm, largely due to the 90,000 vines planted in 1825 by Ryk Arnoldus Cloete, brother of the renowned Hendrik Cloete of Constantia.

  • Beau Constantia - Beau Constantia is a boutique wine farm located high up on the Constantia Mountains, where meticulous vineyard care results in distinctive handcrafted wines. Situated at the top of Constantia Nek with views of False Bay, these carefully tended vines offer panoramic vistas of the Stellenbosch and Helderberg Mountain ranges.

Great for a large group - very personal and interesting tour - We booked this virtual tour for a large group company event and it was a great success. Sipho gave a very informative, personal, and compelling presentation and was completely open to questions. Everyone in our group came away with a better understanding of what it is like to live in and grow up in Soweto. I highly recommend this tour company.

You must take this virtual tour! - As my trip to SA was cancelled this year due to the pandemic, I've been seeking out virtual ways to visit. Sipho is a talented storyteller and an excellent guide - even though neither of us were in Soweto (as the tour was given online), I really felt transported! Sipho is also a talented photographer and shared his photographs with me to be used in my research for university, as well as answering my many questions about his business. I'd recommend this tour to anybody who wants to travel from home with an attentive guide - thanks Sipho, hopefully we can do this in person soon!

Perfect Introduction to Soweto! - Really amazing experience - I learned so much from this tour! The perfect way to get to know the history and culture of an important location in South Africa. Sipho is a fantastic guide and his passion for sharing the history of his neighborhood shines through. I knew very little about the history of Joburg and Soweto and Sipho provided such a great overview. Can't wait to visit and take an in person tour. Thanks!

If you can't be there, this is the next best thing! - If you would like to learn about Johannesburg and Soweto through a dynamic experience that includes video chat, pictures and real life stories. I have been on two of Sipho's tours in person, and the quality of this tour is no different. If you are interested or curious about Soweto but can't travel right now this is a great way to experience it while supporting the tourism industry that is hurting right now.
