Extremely interesting history and mine experience! - Amazing history and great introduction to South Africa. Thoroughly enjoyed our 8-hr day tour from Joburg, with the highlight being the Kruger monument and the Cullinan diamond mine. Would highly recommend this company and tour!

Extremely educational and immersive - We had a fascinating tour of Pretoria with Lindela, who was extremely knowledgeable in his African history! He then dropped us at the Cullinan mine where we had a very interesting and informative 2-hr tour of the mine’s surface and structures, and learned how diamonds are mined and processed there. A very educational 8-hr day in a comfortable car with an excellent guide. Highly recommend!

Very enjoyable tour with great guide - Great tour with quite a bit of history. Nice clean car, wi-fi and bottled water. Our guide, Pastor, did a fantastic job - very knowledgeable and easy to chat with - gave us terrific background on all the places we visited.

Great adventure in Pretoria and Cullinan mine tours - William was amazing. We went to the capital saw statue and gardens rode around town and very different parts of the city. He was very knowledgeable and provided history and cultural insight. Loved it all great experience.

Great Guide! - Our guide KG was so knowledgeable and shared her passion for history with us. While the surface tour of the mine was ok the Pretoria tour was fantastic!

Interesting and informative day out - This was a great fun and informative day out. Pastor our guide collected us by car for the trip. Pretoria was very interesting, helped by detailed commentary from Pastor and the Voortrekker monument is just an amazing building. We were unable to drive to the Union building due to multiple police roadblocks. The diamond mine was eye opening and the guide at the mine was also very knowledgable and informative. We were surprised that an alcohol check was required by visitors, in the same way it is for staff at the mine. Great food at the Lemon Tree cafe in Cullinan after the tour before being taken back to our hotel.

Pretoria and Cullinan Mine Tour - The Cullinan mine tour is informative. Only my wife and I were in the touring group. The Petra Diamonds tour guide showed us the facts about diamond mining and answered our questions. Our tour guide, Pastor, picked two of us from the hotel, brought us to a few attractions in Pretoria and then brought us to the mine. During the driving time, Pastor introduced some intersting facts and answered our questions about the political and economic situations as well as historical and cultural issues. He is knowledgeable. I would like to give him five stars. The reason why I give only four-star to the whole tour is as follows. On the document provided by Viator, along with the booking reference number, it showed the date and a time of 8:00 AM. In my mind, I assumed (by mistaken) that we would be picked up and sent to a gathering location, from where the tour would start at 8 AM. When we arrived at the hotel two days before the tour, before we entered our room, I asked the receptionist to help me get in touch with Mhlanganis Travel and Tours and ask for the pick-up time. The hotel receptionist called and asked the tour operator. She said that the other end of the line, with a name, said the pick-up time was 8:30 am. As I entered the hotel room and checked the email messages in my Notebook, there was a message from Viator, time stamp at 5:28 pm. The Mhlanganisi Travel and Tours told me to wear closed shoes and bring our passports. I answered at 9:06 pm to confirm the requirement and also asked “What time are you coming to pick us up?” I have not received the answer or any other message from the tour operator since then. I felt uncomfortable about that late pick-up time. So, on the next day, which was the day before the touring day, I asked another receptionist to check again. I heard that the time was eight o’clock. The hotel receptionist tried to explain my question and was shocked by the wording used by the operator in the touring office. She slowly put back the phone and said “He’s so rude.” We felt uneasy about this incident. However, the tour guide did show up on time at 8 AM to pick us up for the interesting tour.
