- Cape Town - Shortly after pick up at your accommodation between 8:00 and 8:30 AM by a top notch tour guide/driver in a shared minibus, we head off on an all-inclusive, full-day Cape Winelands tour to Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, known as the American Express Wine Route of South Africa.
Follow the Stellenbosch and Franschhoek wine route in all its splendour.
You’ll enjoy wine tasting at up to 4 carefully selected award winning wine estates, all of which wine tasting fees are included, and will also enjoy a main course lunch at one of these award-winning wine farms. (We will pay for lunch for guests or travellers who booked the option of lunch price). if you did not book this option, lunch will be at own account.

A Solo Traveler’s Wine Wonderland - As a solo female traveler, my day exploring the Cape Winelands was absolutely unforgettable. The Stellenbosch & Franschhoek 20 Wine Tasting + Lunch Shared Tour was a perfect blend of exceptional wines, stunning landscapes, and charming company.
From start to finish, our driver’s expertise and warmth made the journey effortless and enjoyable RUBEN was the best. Each winery we visited offered unique, delectable wines paired beautifully with cheeses. The historic towns of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek added a cultural touch, and seeing Drakenstein Prison was a poignant highlight.
Meeting fellow travelers added an extra layer of joy to the experience. The delicious lunch and friendly atmosphere made this tour truly special. For anyone seeking a delightful solo adventure filled with great wine, history, and new friends, this tour is an absolute must!

Good wines and wineries! - Initial communication was not good….when we booked, booking said pickup from our hotel was as 7:30am. At 7:41 am, tour operator sent an email saying it was now pickup at 8:30am. Wish we had known that ahead of time. That said, the tour, once our tour guide picked us up, was excellent. Weather was not great but our guide/driver was a good driver and took us to nice wineries with good wine. The included lunch was very good.

Cape Town Winelands are Amazing! - We had no idea how beautiful the wine lands near Cape Town, nor did we know how good the wines are. We had a wonderful day with our guide who told us the history, etc and that was enhanced at each stop with great tastings, background stories, etc. From small family wineries to newer modern facilities we were so impressed. It's a don't miss tour.

Great Winery Tour highlighting Delaire Graff - Great day. Driver Mark was friendly & happy to answer our many questions. We only visited 3 wineries by choice- Fairview, Delaire Graff & Delheim. We enjoyed them all, with Delaire Graff being our favourite. Had a pleasant lunch at Delheim, although Gluten Free options were limited to a salad. Wine tastings were very generous & we couldn't try all 20! Recommend as a nice day out of Cape Town, especially if weather not good for other activities.

Fine, but I wouldn't do it again. - Angelo is a super nice guy, but he was very pushy... he talked non-stop and kept forcing us into the conversation even when it was clear we were content to be quiet.
I would have preferred fewer, better wines than what was a lot of mediocre ones.

NOT AS ADVERTISED - Driver was cordial, but it was very difficult to understand his heavily accented English. I opted for the up charge for the lunch at $40 US. When we arrived for luncheon, I discovered that one is limited to a main course, a maximum of which is 320 ZAR. Appetizer, dessert or beverage are not included. Why would anyone in their right mind pay an additional US$40 for $15 worth of food ? I declined the lunch and requested that the driver ask the tour operator to give me a refund for the difference between the tour without the lunch and with the lunch and he got an argument from the tour operator. Our visit to the prison was to the parking lot where we could view the statue of Nelson Mandela. We sampled 16 not 20 wines and we visited no Winery in Franschhoek. All I’m asking is that the trip description accurately reflect what we actually would do. I am going to demand a refund from Tripadvisor and we’ll see what happens.
