- Company’s Gardens - As the oldest garden in South Africa, it was initially established to cultivate fresh produce for the region and to supply ships passing the southernmost tip of Africa. Over time, it evolved into a place of beauty, with botanists introducing a variety of trees, shrubs, flowers, and herbs. The Company’s Garden boasts the oldest cultivated pear tree in South Africa (circa 1652), a rose garden designed in 1929, a fish pond, a memorial garden honoring South African soldiers, an aviary, a herb and succulent garden, numerous monuments and historic statues, and various wild, feral, and semi-domesticated birds and animals, including the African turtle dove, Egyptian goose, and squirrels.

Known locally as “The Castle,” this 17th-century bastion fort now houses several historical collections, including the William Fehr Collection managed by Iziko Museums of South Africa.
- Bo-kaap - “Bo Kaap,” also referred to as the Malay Quarter, showcases architecture typical of Cape Town 200 years ago.
- St. George’s Cathedral - The cathedral is celebrated for its political stance during apartheid and is recognized as a powerful symbol of democracy in South Africa. Desmond Tutu, the first black archbishop of South Africa, led numerous marches and campaigns for the formal end of apartheid from the steps of St. George’s Cathedral. It served as a common gathering place for activists of all races and women’s rights groups who were part of the resistance to apartheid laws and the struggle for social justice, equality, and human rights. The remains of Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu are interred in front of the high altar.
