Fantastic tour - Absolutely brilliant 3 and a half hours. Our guide Peter was great. Very knowledgeable about the area and the people who lived and worked in the area both in the past and now. Great stop at bullion chocolate where we learnt all about the benefits of dark chocolate. Lovely vegan sausage roll along the way and ending with a chat about the beers at heist brewery along with a sample of three of the beers and a fab burger. Lovely people on the tour with us to top of a fab afternoon.

Great 4 hours on a Saturday - Finally able to book on this amazing tour, was a present Christmas 2020. A real insight into the area and discovered places that you would never now existed. Tour of Bullion Chocolate was great, along with tasting vegan sausage roll, tour of incredible bioponic farm and Sheffield brewery tour. Amy our tour guide was friendly and informative. Excellent 4 hours spent.

Excellent - Excellent tour, although we have been to Kelham Island several times Sophie took us to some places that we had not been to. A good mix of history and food. Will definitely go on another one.

New meets old..... - Earlier today, my wife and I met up with 2 other couples and joined Sophie, of Kelham Island Food Tours, on one of her foodie trips around this rapidly developing area.
Rarely do you find this blend of old industrial architecture, vibrant small businesses, uber contemporary housing and cutting edge cuisine but you do in this neighbourhood.
Within the space of about 1/2 mile, we visited 5 of the many new bars and restaurants, enjoyed a sample from each menu and in most cases met the restaurant owners/managers who gave us an insight into their opetations.
As we strolled between venues Sophie picked out the local landmarks and described in some detail the transformation which is taking place in Kelham Island; a thoroughly interesting and enjoyable trip.

New experience - Had a fabulous afternoon sampling many exciting dishes from a selection of different eateries at Kelham Island. We were new to the area, so it was good to have Sophie as our guide to take us around. Will definitely go back to explore Cutlery Works and sample the sushi again. Will also try Bullion Chocolate. We found the vegan selection at Make no Bones in Temple of Fun very tasty and interesting as we are big meat eaters. We loved the cake selection at the last stop, some of them even made it home. Wonderful day out and having Sophie as our guide was a bonus.

Fantastic Christmas Do! - I was looking for something a bit different as a treat for my staff before Christmas. Sophie was a perfect guide, very knowledgeable about the area, its history and latest bars & eateries. Each venue we visited began with a short explanation by the owner or member of staff. Each place had their own unique feature, superb quality food in perfect sized portions.
A thoroughly good time had by all, would highly recommend!

Food tour - My partner and I went on the food tour yesterday and loved every minute of it. Having never been to Kelham Island before, we loved discovering the hidden gems that we just wouldn't have known about otherwise. We've discovered new favourites and will definitely be back for more!! We were both so impressed by the quality of food at the 6 locations we went to and Sophie, our guide, was good enough to point out other places we might like to try separately as well! There was a real variety of quality food and drink sampled- we found it was a real food experience. As I have a nut allergy, the tour and the 6 locations were very accommodating with this and I was able to enjoy the food along with everyone else. We would 100% recommend this tour to you... Go for it!!

Corporate Evening - Taste of Kelham Tour - Great Night - We have booked with Sophie twice now for company events , a mini artisan tour and the taste of kelham tour. Both excellent. Sophie is brilliant , well organised and passionate about her tours. The choice of venues available and the different food we tasted was excellent all located in a historic part of Sheffield. We will definitely use her again for future company events . And I've recommended her to friends and family too , a lovely present idea . Thanks Sophie !!

Wonderful experience! - Hubby and I were given two vouchers for this brilliant tour as a birthday gift. We had an amazing time! Sophie gave us so much information about each foodie place and the area in general. The 6 stops were all superb. Two (Temple of Fun and Gaard Coffee Hide) served vegan and vegetarian dishes, which merely confirmed my resolve to move nearer towards being fully vegetarian...meals were delicious and beautifully prepared. It was a good job we visited The Jar Bar at The Cutlery Works first - a huge platter of tastes and dips, chicken, sausage. So much food to eat....I wouldn't have done it justice two hours later. It was a brilliant start to the tour. Noosa, I think, was my favourite and we will definitely be returning at some point.
Thanks, Sophie for being a great host...we loved every minute!

Book it!! - After reading the glowing reviews we had high expectations and Sophie lived up to them . She is clearly passionate about food and the regeneration of the local area. Our small group of 7 felt welcomed and spoilt with generous portions of food prepared with love and pride at each of the independent places on the route. Even with some knowledge of Kelham Island I was still surprised to be introduced to bars and cafes I wasn’t aware of.
If you enjoy the adventure of new tastes and appreciate this comes at a cost you will be highly delighted. The cafes have a Notting Hill feel about them , on trend with taste and sourcing of ingredients.
Only thing that would improve it would be more input from the retailers themselves , it’s always interesting to hear the story behind the motivation .
