- Corfe Castle - We’ll ascend the hills overlooking the 1,000-year-old Corfe Castle, traveling along ancient byways and muddy tracks to discover breathtaking viewpoints and rest spots. Our 4x4 jeep safari offers exceptional comfort, with an upgraded Land Rover featuring air conditioning, leather seats, and panoramic windows that our passengers adore.
- Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door - This is arguably one of the most picturesque and historic English seaside villages. The beach is even more spectacular, with a horseshoe-shaped bay carved into the Jurassic cliffs by the last ice age. Once a haven for pirates and smugglers, the waters are now sailed by fishermen who provide excellent fish and lobster for visitors.
- Steeple - Visit the 700-year-old church built by George Washington’s ancestors. The church’s arch displays the world’s oldest Washington coat of arms (2 stars and 3 stripes), a precursor to the Stars & Stripes flag! We’ll also ascend above Creech Grange, once home to George Washington’s ancestors, venturing off-road once more.
- South West Coast Path - Heaven’s Gate at Kimmeridge Bay - Possibly the most stunning viewpoint in all of Dorset, Heaven’s Gate is perched high above Kimmeridge Bay. Accessible only by our safari truck, we’ll go off-road and along the ridge to take in the breathtaking views. We’ll pause for refreshments and enjoy Helen’s famous homemade cakes! There’s also an option for a short walk to the highest point on the Isle of Purbeck, the site of a Bronze Age burial mound, where on a clear day, you can see across the sea to the cliffs of Normandy, France, some 75 miles to the south!
- New Forest National Park Hampshire - A delightful stop on the way back to the port is the beautiful village of Burley, nestled deep in the New Forest National Park. Burley boasts a wealth of English tea rooms, gift shops, and art galleries, embodying everything you’d expect from a traditional, old New Forest village.
In Burley, don’t be surprised to see ponies and cattle roaming freely around the village. Picturesque thatched cottages hidden in unexpected places evoke a sense of life in the past. Burley has remained relatively untouched by time, steeped in old customs and history, allowing visitors to relax and enjoy its tranquil simplicity.
