We arrive at Wilsons Prom and embark on our first hike for the day which takes us through beautiful terrain and emerges to the vastness of “The Big Drift” Wilsons Promontory sand dunes. An out of this world and inescapable view that can be often overlooked.
Once we return we will take a small drive to the general store for some lunch. Next, it’s time for…
We arrive at Wilsons Prom and embark on our first hike for the day which takes us through beautiful terrain and emerges to the vastness of “The Big Drift” Wilsons Promontory sand dunes. An out of this world and inescapable view that can be often overlooked.
Once we return we will take a small drive to the general store for some lunch. Next, it’s time for our second hike of the day, a 7.8 km return journey to the famous Mt Oberon. From the summit, you will experience arguably the best coastal views in Victoria.
Our next stop is one of our favourites, Squeaky Beach. Here you can wander on the incredibly white rounded grains of quartz which make a squeaking sound giving this popular local beach its name.
Finally, as we are departing the National Park, we will make a stop to see our native furry friends. There is a high chance you’ll see Wombats, Emus, Kangaroos and Wallabies going about their daily business.

A compact way of hiking the Wilsons Promontory in ONE day! - Good mix of walking experiences including paranomic view of the promontory walking to the top of Mount Bishop, a coastal walk at Squeaky Beach and followed by a gentle walk in the wild life park. Marcus is nice and friendly telling us a lot of interesting stories!

SUPERB WALK WITH A GROUP AND 2 GUIDES ON TOP! - As I found the previous day's outing on the Great Ocean Road and the 12 Apostles absolutely fabulous, I decided to take a second excursion with Hike and Seek, this one to Wilsons Prom. And again, it was absolutely awesome!
The weather was great, a great atmosphere prevailed in our small group. Our guide Andrew (accompanied by Jedda whose first day it was) introduced us to this unique and beautiful site during a beautiful walk in the forest. Andrew gave us a lot of information about the area. And thanks to its natural calm, we were able to enjoy short moments of calm on this site that lends itself very well to contemplation. Andrew is a beautiful, caring and touching person who is interested in the members of his group, and who also gives himself up.
The pace of the walk was correct. We had enough time for a nice swim at Squeekie Beach.
I felt a pinch in my heart when the tour came to an end and we all left.
Another nice excursion organized by the agency Hike And Seek.

Please share and experience with us - The view is so beautiful, it is rare to see such pure mountain water and sky from Taiwan. Thank you for the full tour of detailed introduction, the time also caught just right, thank you for having you, this trip to Australia added a good memory

Great scenic day tour from Melbourne - This tour was a great way to experience Wilson Prom if you only have one day. The drive on either end is long but worth it. The bakery stop on the way there was amazing, so many great options. First stop was at the Big Drift which was very impressive. Not long enough to venture too far in but enough to appreciate. Next stop was Squeaky Beach. Since everyone brought/bought lunch ahead of time we were able to spend extra time at the beach and eat there. That gave us enough time to swim which was wonderful. Next stop was a hike up Mount Bishop which provided an amazing view of the coast. It never felt too steep but we climbed a lot of elevation. Final stop was a natural walk but unfortunately we didn’t see any kangaroos or wombats as they might have been scared a way by the recent construction. Mark (and Dino) was a great guide. He is super friendly and passionate about nature and being a tour guide. He kept us informed and entertained the whole way. Highly recommended!

Worthwhile day trip to a beautiful NP - A must do if you are in Melbourne or surroundings. This trip is one of the best I have done in Australia so far. The scenery is unique, Squeaky Beach beautiful and the view from Mt Bishop breathtaking. The strenuous ascent is worth it. Our tour guide Mark accompanied us safely through the day, patiently and without rushing us. During the trip we received a lot of information about the history of Melbourne and Geelong, as well as the places that lay on the route. Absolute recommendation.

Beautiful Day in Nature - We had a great time exploring Wilson’s Promontory Ntl Park and loved having Mark as our guide. He was informative on the wildlife and fauna. Having lunch at Squeaky Beach was a highlight. As a group, we all agreed to buy our lunch early in the morning so we could eat at the beach. The sandwiches from the cafe stop, The Pandesal Bakery in Meeniyan were incredible. The hikes were great, but be prepared with snacks, water, repellent and sunscreen. It’s a great day outside of the city in nature.

Wilsons Promontory Hiking Day Tour - I recently signed up for the Wilsons Promontory hike, and wow, what an adventure! If you’re looking for a fun day out in nature, this is the tour for you!
Our guide, Curtis, was absolutely fantastic—so friendly, patient, and super knowledgeable about everything we encountered along the way. You could really tell he loves what he does!
As beginner hikers, we were a bit nervous at first, but Curtis made sure we all felt comfortable and included. He was always checking in on us, which really put our minds at ease. The trails were breathtaking, and the fresh, clean air was such a welcome change from the city hustle. I couldn’t get enough of the stunning views!
The whole vibe of the tour was just amazing—great company, laughter, and plenty of encouragement.
If you’re considering this tour, do it! You’ll have a blast and create some fantastic memories. I can’t recommend it enough! 🌿

Wombats & gorgeous views - I had an awesome time hiking through Wilsons Prom! Our guide was Andrew, and he told us all about the area and also suggested some other things to check out in Melbourne based on our interests.
Wilsons Prom is spectacular! We visited the sand dunes, hiked up Mt Oberon (which had a gorgeous view), and visited Squeaky Beach (beautiful!).
We saw a wallaby, kangaroos, wombats, and baby emus. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience! I definitely want to return in the future and go on another hiking trip

Awesome - Hi, our experience were amazing. We saw emurs, wombat, wallabies, kangaroos and different species of birds in stunning landscapes. The tour guide is nice and very professional.
