Exceptional Guided hike in Arches - Our group of four friends enjoyed an exceptional five hour guided hike with Jake in Arches NP. We discussed what we might like to see and how much hiking we would like and Jake took those thoughts into account while suggesting some less-visited areas. We loved learning about the geology and history and his personal insights as an avid enthusiast of the area. Jake also had excellent suggestions for areas for us to explore on our own. I just wish we’d had another day to go canyoneering with him! I highly recommend!

DESERT HIGHLIGHTS WAS AMAZING - One of the best experiences my family and I have ever experienced. Kai was our guide for two full day hikes into Arches and Canyonlands. She was amazing! I would highly recommend Desert Highlights to anyone visiting Moab. We can't wait to return. My only complaint is that we could stay longer.

Arches national Park hiking tour - My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our guided tour of Arches national Park with Ed! His knowledge of the park is incredible. Not only was the day informative, it was really fun. We would highly recommend a guided tour with Ed.

Guided Hiking in Arches & Canyonlands - I had an absolutely wonderful time with Desert Highlights! This was my first time using the company, but it won't be my last! I spent 2 days with the company. I love that all of the tours are private. They even provide water and snacks. I have a chocolate allergy and they made sure to have non-chocolate snacks available. The 1st day was a half-day hiking in Arches with Herb. He was great - friendly, a pleasure to be around & very helpful for navigating the terrain! He also took plenty of pictures of me with the arches in the background! Prior to the hike(s), he gave me options on whether to do 1 longer hike or multiple shorter hikes. We ended up doing multiple shorter hikes so I could see more arches. Herb's wife, Melissa, is the one that answers all of the emails. She was wonderful as well! Prior to the my next tour, I emailed Melissa last minute to see if I could add a sunset hike to Delicate Arch to my half-day hiking tour and thankfully they were able to accommodate! The 2nd day was a half day hiking in Canyonlands Island in the Sky district in the morning with a short afternoon break and then a hike to Delicate Arch for sunset. Both of these hikes were with Kai. Kai was wonderful! She was friendly, helpful, and a pleasure to be around! For Canyonlands, we did a few shorter hikes as I didn't want to wear myself out too much before our Delicate Arch hike. The Delicate Arch hike was wonderful! I'm a hobbyist photographer and was going to limit my equipment in order to keep my bag light, but Kai was kind enough to offer to carry my tripod and one of my lenses in her bag. The sunset at Delicate Arch was beautiful! I definitely plan to return to the area and do other adventures and plan to use Desert Highlights again!

Amazing day with an incredible guide! - Our guide, Jake, was awesome! Arrived at the hotel right on time and took us on a private tour of Arches. He was so knowledgeable about the geology of the area and the rock formations. So easy to get along with and just an overall great experience. Exemplary individualized service - My wife and I spent 9 hours hiking Canyonlands National Park through the private guided service of Desert Highlights. Everything was first-class and professional. The reservation system was easy and seamless. Immediate replies looking to match our expectations and activity/fitness level to the day. Once arrived in Moab, met Jake, our guide who was absolutely superb. He guided us to multiple sites, took a few 1-2 mile hikes, made sure we were hydrated and had good equipment. He was informative, personable, and a delight to spend the day with. We saw so much beauty and Jake gave us a plethora of facts, and background about the history, geology, plants, and animals of the area. We had a great lunch in a picnic area (supplied by Desert Highlights) overlooking a spectacular view. Jake brought snacks and plenty of water although we brought our own as well.
