The Fisher Towers portion of the Colorado River boasts AN ABUNDANCE OF BEAUTIFUL VISTAS AND EXCITING MINOR RAPIDS, subject to the seasonal water levels. This location has been a popular choice for filming movies and commercials over the decades. Both John Wayne and John Ford chose this location for many of their classic westerns. In 2013, the region was featured in The Lone Ranger starring Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer. Most recently, it was the filming site for the first season of HBO’s Westworld, aired in 2016.
