Highlights
  • Arches National Park - The tour will head north on US 191 passing the entrance of Arches National Park which was designated as a National Monument before being changed to a National Park in 1971. Our special use permit allows us to enter the back door to Arches via the Willow Springs Road. Along this backcountry route, you’ll travel through the new area of the “Utah Raptor State Park”. Here where Native Americans lived back in history for thousands of years you’ll see dinosaur tracks and enjoy the views of the La Sal Mountains. The Park lies atop an underground salt bed that is responsible for the arches, spires, and sandstone fins. Several of the stops include Eye of the Whale, Balanced Rock, Delicate Arch viewpoint, and the Windows Section. The trip length is approximately 4 hours duration. All vehicles are Jeep Rubicons which are enclosed and air-conditioned.
  • Canyonlands National Park - The Island in the Sky district of Canyonlands National Park is the focus of this excellent half-day tour. Set 2,000 feet above the canyon floor below, we will descend from the top of the mesa via the famous Shafer Trail. Using Shafer Trail’s winding switchbacks the tour will take guests from atop the mesa to the meandering river corridor below. Throughout the tour your experienced and knowledgeable guide will provide you with information on the Park and the various scenery that you will see. There will be an emphasis on the history, archeology, and geology of the area. Your guide will also point out natural sandstone arches, and other formations that many visitors might miss on their own while visiting the Park and the canyons below. This tour offers guests the opportunity to see the splendor of Canyonlands from the comfort of our fully enclosed, air-conditioned, 4×4 vehicles. The tour could be run in reverse, or bottom of the canyon climbing up.

Superb Jeep excursion into the back country of Arches and Canyonlands. Highly recommended!! - Mark took us to Canyonlands in the morning and Arches in the afternoon. He is a superb guide full of knowledge which he enjoys sharing. He graciously offered snacks and water whenever we needed and told us when the next "potty" stop would be. In the morning there were 4 of us and he kept having us rotate seats so no one got stuck in the middle back for long. It was a good way to do it. The vehicle was a 2024 Jeep with all the bells and whistles you could want. It is obviously lovingly maintained and clean as a whistle inside and out. I would highly recommend Adrift Adventures and Mark in particular for anyone wanting a Jeep trip in either park. It was a fantastic way to see things most people don't see in the back country.

What a day! - Ric was our guide for the day and he did an awesome job! My son and I went on the full day Canyonlands/Arches back country Jeep adventure with him. He took time to explain everything we needed to know and shared many stories and facts about these parks. We had a great time with him and highly recommend this tour and company. We also met the owner and he personally makes sure that everything is done right. I could not imagine this day being any better for us. We are satisfied customers!

Adrift is A+ Tours - Backcountry Arches & Canyonlands National Parks full day tour was great from the start and just got better. Our guide Casey was very warm and personable. Mike also made sure we were enjoying our time on our lunch break. We are so glad we had the tour instead of trying to do these two parks on our own. I’d say Mike runs a first class business and my husband is already talking about returning for a river trip in the future.

A day to remember with Adrift Adventures - We visited areas we would have been unable to access ourselves and saw the most amazing scenery. Our guide Mark Trunzo was so knowledgeable about the area and was obviously passionate about the parks and how they should be looked after, he was also good fun. We had a great day.

A MUST DO Attraction!! - Did you know that Canyonlands NP is 5x larger than Arches NP? To see them both on your own will take more than two days and will require you to (a) deal with a timed entry system, (b) LOTS of people, and (c) issues with parking at pull outs. UNLESS you book a tour with Adrift Adventures!! This company offers a multitude of tours ranging from 1/2 day to full day, one park or two, and even multi-day white water rafting excusions. Whatever you want to see and do, Adrift can help you with. I chose the FULL DAY, TWO PARK package. I was in a Jeep with three other travelers, and together, we explored parts of both parks few will ever see. This was a backroads tour, and it was absolutely phenominal!! There were frequent stops for restrooms (if needed) and photo opportunities. MARK was our guide, and his incredible wealth of knowledge and experience made for a fun, engaging, informative and interactive tour. We started off in Arches NP, and toured there for almost four hours before breaking for lunch. Snacks and cold water are also provided. After lunch, we entered the back of Canyonlands NP. We saw very few people, so we were able to take photographs unimpeded without people urging us to hurry. THIS is the way to see these parks, especially in the summer heat. There was very little walking, so people of all ages and abilities can participate. I cannot say enough about this company and the quality of service they provide. 10 out of 10!!

Wonderful trip to Arches and Canyonlands - Both Arches and Canyonlands are spectacular parks with amazing natural formations. Our guide, Mark Trunzo, was exceptionally knowledgeable and shared many interesting stories with us. Our Jeep was new and super clean. I preferred Canyonlands because our route took us to such breathtaking vistas.
