So Many Stars! - This dark sky experience was AMAZING! To lay under the stars (with warm blankets and hot cocoa!!) was an evening we'll never forget. Our guide pointed out constellations and told stories about stars. SO COOL! There were many people on the evening we went, which did not hamper our viewing experience, except when it came to using the one telescope. Would've been nice to have had another telescope for the number of people that were there.

Do. Not. Miss. - A short easy walk away from the lights of the lodge (5 minutes) to look up at the stars. Our guide Oliver had explanations of what constellations we were seeing, stories to share, and fielded questions from adults and little kids with ease.
Zion is considered a Dark Sky Reserve, so you’re unlikely to ever see more stars you will here.
Also, we had a near-full moon and he’d brought along a telescope to look at the moon in stunning detail.

Best Stargazing Experience Yet - Absolutely a worthwhile experience. It's a very short hike from the lodge to the stargazing platform and hot chocolate and blankets were provided at the platform. A small shuttle to the platform is also available for the mobility impaired. Oliver was an amazing guide and provided plenty of educational and entertaining information about the stars, planets, and constellations. The sky was very clear on the particular night my family and I went, which provided great views of Jupiter, Mars, many constellations and faintly the Milky Way once our eyes adjusted! I personally also saw 3 shooting stars. Definitely a must-do for anyone staying in the area!

Great East Zion Stargazing - Excellent value! Our instructor pointed out constellations I’ve never been able to find before, taught us about some really cool things like the Orion Nebula, and helped us find Jupiter (and four moons!), the double cluster, and Orion’s nebula through a telescope. This experience was an excellent value and a highlight of our trip.

Oliver is the best tour guide - Being able to see the whole Milky Way with absolutely no light pollution is breathe taking. With all the stars and planets you’re able to see is a bit overwhelming but we had a great tour guide name Oliver, who helped us parse the different constellations and planets. Any questions you had about the stars and planets he answered. 10/10 recommend!!!!!!

Oliver gave us an excellent experience - We had a stargazing tour with Oliver and it was FANTASTIC - honestly a steal for the price.
Unfortunately, due to the full moon, we couldn’t see many stars. However, Oliver skillfully spun the experience around, illuminating the night sky and sharing fascinating insights into the various constellations and their historical significance to different cultures. We were particularly captivated by the sight of Saturn and its magnificent rings, which felt like a truly magical moment. We also caught glimpses of Jupiter and Venus, and marveled at the craters adorning the moon’s surface.
Oliver is really knowledgeable and loves what he does. All in all, highly recommend.

Beautiful night! - The location was absolutely perfect to see the Milkey Way! I gave this three stars because of the view however, our guide did not have a lazer pointer that worked and it really put a damper on the presentation. She would say things like, "maybe you can see where this is if you look over here" but none of that is really helpful if you are laying on the gound and you can't see where she is pointing in the dark. The purpose of the tour was to enjoy, point out and explore the night sky and I would think making sure you had a working pointer to identify stars, constellations and planets would be an absolute must, why not have a backup if your tour depends on it? The guide was pleasant and approachable but seemed a little unsure of the information she was putting out.
