Family of 4 - I brought my family of 4 to the stargazing tour. My son is 12 and my daughter 6. It was a good sized group and we all walked together to nice, secluded area where the staff provided hot chocolate and hot cider and blankets! The guide was knowledgeable and interacted with the group. My son, husband and i enjoyed just sitting under the blanket of stars and learning about the night sky . we even saw a shooting star! my daughter fell asleep as it was past her bedtime but i would 100% recommend this tour!

Very good experience that’s highly recommended - Fantastic experience. The tour guides SkY and others were amazing. We saw the moon through their telescope and saw the constellations. Very highly recommend. Caveat is the location is the eastern entrance of Zion and is a 1.5 hr drive from Springdale and the roads are very winding and dangerous at night

Nice - Speaker very informative and was a nice night overall. Too far of a drive from where we stayed and mostly resort ppl. Other ppl with phone lights and chatting wasn’t great.

Pretty but difficult - The night skies are incredible and the host had nice stories. If you're a guest of the ranch and didn't have to drive it would have been better. The drive was really pretty through park but alot of switchbacks and give yourself a lot of time to get to the ranch. And driving back to Cedar City was difficult and took hours.

Ok, but not worth the money. - The stars were beautiful, but the adventure could be done without the price tag. The hot chocolate was just packaged Swiss miss and it was very cold. Plus the guide spent a long time on satellites instead of constellations.

Less favorite trip - Guide needed to have a microphone. He was knowledgeable but his voice did not carry too well. That’s all I have to say about that.

Beautiful night, horrible group - This could have been a fabulous experience for my kids, had our group not been filled with a horrendously behaved group of teenagers and their equally horrendously behaved parents. They completely ruined the experience for me and my family. Our guide was incredibly sweet, though she admitted it was her first time and she was using an app. However, she was unable to control the group at all and it was just incredibly unpleasant. If the groups are going to be as large as they are, stronger leadership is needed. Also note that if you are not staying on the east side of the park, this is going to be an incredibly unpleasant drive in the dark!

Not prepared for the driving conditions - By the time we got through the park and all the switchbacks, I was terrified. All I could think of was we had to drive back in the pitch black sky. The place we had to drive to was way out in the middle of absolute nowhere and the roads were not marked very well. Again, I was terrified by the time I got to the place and all my husband could do was cancel so that we could start to drive back and the last little bit of light that we had. I was up all night with stress headache. I’m sure we won’t get a refund but we should have been warned about hazardous driving conditions. I would not recommend this trip for anyone who does not like to drive scary mountain passes with 23 switchbacks and my long tunnels in the dark.
