Oliver gave us an excellent experience - We had a stargazing tour with Oliver and it was FANTASTIC - honestly a steal for the price.
Unfortunately, due to the full moon, we couldn’t see many stars. However, Oliver skillfully spun the experience around, illuminating the night sky and sharing fascinating insights into the various constellations and their historical significance to different cultures. We were particularly captivated by the sight of Saturn and its magnificent rings, which felt like a truly magical moment. We also caught glimpses of Jupiter and Venus, and marveled at the craters adorning the moon’s surface.
Oliver is really knowledgeable and loves what he does. All in all, highly recommend.

Stargazing outside Zion - We had a great time stargazing. Oliver was a great tour guide, and we loved the stories about different constellations. The blankets and hot chocolate were a great touch!

An absolute must see! - Oliver and John took us to a platform in Zion National park! It felt great to be in a quiet, dark park staring at the sky; lying on a blanket with sone hot cocao. There was a full moon, a blue moon that night. Oliver told us great stories about the stars and pointed them out for us. We also looked at the stars and the moon through a telescope and even saw the planet Jupiter! We all loved it!

Beautiful clear night. - The guide was entertaining and delightful. Tons of blankets were offered and I happily accepted 4 for warmth and cushioning. I stopped at the lodge before the tour and bought some cool shirts and merchandise.

Cool ranch, nice people, very fun. - It was a very family friendly event. The guide was very nice and shared a really cool star gazing app with everyone. I skipped the hot chocolate because it was warm for early October. I would have liked for her to identify more constellations for us. The environment was lovely and facilities were accommodating for every level of need. Definitely recommended.

Beautiful night! - The location was absolutely perfect to see the Milkey Way! I gave this three stars because of the view however, our guide did not have a lazer pointer that worked and it really put a damper on the presentation. She would say things like, "maybe you can see where this is if you look over here" but none of that is really helpful if you are laying on the gound and you can't see where she is pointing in the dark. The purpose of the tour was to enjoy, point out and explore the night sky and I would think making sure you had a working pointer to identify stars, constellations and planets would be an absolute must, why not have a backup if your tour depends on it? The guide was pleasant and approachable but seemed a little unsure of the information she was putting out.

Don't Bother - To start, don't be fooled, this tour may have an Orderville UT address but the meeting point is about 30 miles from there. You meet at a campground, walk about 100 yards into the woods and sit on a concrete slab to look at the stars.
They feed the already sugar stoked kids at the campground instant Swiss Miss hot chocolate, so it's quite noisy, and they play with their flashlights which makes adjusting your eyes to the night sky difficult.
Yes you do see stars, and there is a little narration from the guide, but we could do just as well at our site picnic table with a "star gazing" phone app.
Not worth the cost at all, don't bother.

Couldn’t see hardly anything in the sky - We booked this having read that Utah has some of the darkest sky’s… except last night was almost a full moon. I didn’t even think about the moon, but it lit up the sky so much we could barely seen anything in the sky. So we sat out in 45 degree weather and listened to a guy talk about the starts for an hour and a half. Total waste of time and money. We sat on an uncomfortable cement pad in the cold looking at the same sky we have anywhere. I would NEVER recommend this unless 1. No moon and 2. It was warmer. I would recommend they not even run this “adventure” unless the sky is dark.
