- The Mitten Buttes And Merrick Butte - First, we’ll assign you a horse based on your experience, weight, and height. Then we’ll start galloping towards the West Mitten Butte, followed by the East Mitten Butte. They are also known together as, The Mittens. When viewed from the south, the buttes appear to be two gigantic mittens with their thumbs facing inwards. If you capture the Merrick Butte at an angle you see that it’s between the West & East Mitten Buttes. All three buttes are commonly seen together in many popular films and images. Its elevation is over 6,200 ft making it one of the tallest buttes in Monument Valley.
- Sentinel Mesa - Located northwest of The Mittens, it’s a mountain with an elevation of over 6,400 ft. Most of the mesa is in the state of Utah, but a small southern section of it is in the state of Arizona. This breathtaking mesa can be seen from the Monument Valley Visitor Center.

Best activity of our 3,5 week roadtrip - It was a relaxed horseback riding tour with great views!
The guides where super friendly and the horses looked great.
Best activity from our trip. Better than the helicopter tour!

Bucket list item! - Our guide had been with the company a long time and was very helpful. The tour was as picturesque as it was informative. We liked how laid back it felt. Would recommend this company to everyone.

Exciting horse ride! - Fun horseback ride. Deion was a great tour guide. Learned how to ride a horse. Also, I learned about the land and history there. It was exciting riding the horse up and down the small hills. Would definitely recommend!

Great 2 hours in the saddle - Fabulous 2 hour ride. Dion was amazing, he was very informative about the Navajo history and the stories of the various rock formations. The horses were gorgeous, so well mannered and easy going.

An unforgettable experience - What an epic experience!! Our guide Deion was excellent and informative, the horses perfectly calm walkers for two completely novice riders and a bucket list highlight of our holiday. Glad we did it in the morning rather than the heat of the afternoon.

Horse riding tour in Monument Valley - The tour was brilliant. I hadn't riden a horse for years and Dion our guide listened to our needs and made us feel very comfortable. It was a pleasure listening to him, telling us his personal stories and some of the history of the native Americans. I would highly recommend this company. Monument Valley is stunning ❤️

It was okay though i was expecting more history and faster horses - I was a little disappointed that we didn't get more information on the area and the history. It was a lovely slow ride on horses.

Fuyez - Run away!
Horseback riding in Monument Valley was the excursion I was most looking forward to, what a disappointment!
Beautiful landscapes, but:
-A deplorable welcome
– An hour late, it can happen, without warning, and when asked when to return to carry out the excursion they are annoyed.
The Guide, quite simply a disaster, on his phone throughout the visit, my horse stopped several times but the Guide did not even notice that I was a hundred meters behind the group, thanks to the other riders for their vigilance. Certainly some explanations of the place, but no photo proposal, the Guide fell asleep at times on his horse during a break has lengthened that no one asked, and, useless.
– More beautiful scam, we paid for the 2h walk, this one despite the extended breaks lasted only an hour and a half. During the walk we only went to the first mound, so what is the point of taking the 2h walk?
- Also forget the cowboy hats advertised in the description, they are not offered!
– We really have the Impression of bothering the guides/teams. And I don’t prefer to talk about the Guide’s reaction when my companion leaves him a little tips, clearly not deserved.
I strongly advise against this Attraction!
