- The Mitten Buttes And Merrick Butte - First, we’ll assign you a horse based on your experience, weight, and height. Then we’ll start galloping towards the West Mitten Butte, followed by the East Mitten Butte. They are also known together as, The Mittens. When viewed from the south, the buttes appear to be two gigantic mittens with their thumbs facing inwards. If you capture the Merrick Butte at an angle you see that it’s between the West & East Mitten Buttes. All three buttes are commonly seen together in many popular films and images. Its elevation is over 6,200 ft making it one of the tallest buttes in Monument Valley.
- Sentinel Mesa - Located northwest of The Mittens, it’s a mountain with an elevation of over 6,400 ft. Most of the mesa is in the state of Utah, but a small southern section of it is in the state of Arizona. This breathtaking mesa can be seen from the Monument Valley Visitor Center.

Unforgettably beautiful! - The horseback riding tour through Monument Valley was an unforgettable experience. The breathtaking scenery and the light in the afternoon (3-5pm) gave the landscape a magical atmosphere. Our Mustangs led us safely over sticks and stones, they knew exactly where to step. Our guide Nicole was fantastic, telling exciting stories about the Valley and capturing the memories in photos. A unique experience that we can highly recommend.

Monumental Moments on Horseback - My friend and I recently embarked on a 2-hour horseback tour of Monument Valley, and it was unforgettable. The stable was easy to find with ample parking, and check-in was quick with options for helmets or cowboy hats—a nice touch! Our guide, Deion, was both friendly and knowledgeable, adding depth to the breathtaking scenery. Riding Mac and Toby (who charmed us with his occasional grazing breaks) was perfect for us as beginners, and their friendly dispositions made the experience even better. Seeing the Mesas up close on horseback was remarkable. Highly recommended!

Great tour - just enjoy - Great tour with Logan and Nelson. It is only ridden in the crotch, but still a really nice trip even for experienced riders. With the scenery and the sometimes quite steep paths, you don’t need more - just enjoy, let the horses do their job (they can do their job) and listen to the explanations of the guides. The horses are in great condition - well nourished, hooves made, equipment maintained ... all in all even better than expected!

Magic - Our guide deion took us through some beautiful spaces. We went to the feet of these “monuments” in a beautiful atmosphere. Toby and kansas (our horses) were on top. Thank you all. I recommend 300%
