A Must See Tour! - Fabulous experience! Guide Louis was the best. Informative, funny, and a great off-road driver. Would definitely recommend.

What a fantastic experience - What a fantastic experience. Our guide, Louie, was so nice and informative. He showed us all the highlights and we were able to go with him into the Backcountry areas of Monument Valley. On our tour we stopped to meet an a Navajo woman who shared with us how blankets are made and a few stories about her life and her day. Overall, this was better than expected.

Old memories brought back in Monument Valley - This trip is a little out of the way but my memories of all the western shows and movies I saw growing up that were filmed partly in this area drew me here. It was a trip well worth taking. The tour is private, so it is just your party along with your guide on the tour in a comfortable jeep. You wander between the many buttes and mesas in the valley. The high-lite for us was stopping at a small Native American ranch and spending time with a lady that was a master at creating woolen tapestries and ornaments. She spent time with us talking about their life style and explaining the mud hut structure she lived in. It was very interesting to hear and see. The buttes, mesas and arches are all around you on this trip. Our guide lived in this area his whole life and was very informative and friendly. We recommend this tour highly.

Best choice - By far my favorite thing we did while traveling from Durango CO to Las Vegas NV. The scenery was incredible, the driver/guide was friendly, knowledgeable and fun. Well worth the money. I recommend it anyone traveling in this area.

Historical tour - Larry, our guide, was great. He honored us by singing a Navajo song he wrote. He was very knowledgeable. It was a windy, dusty day but we'll worth the tour.

Monument Valley - Our Tour Guide Larry with Tin Horn was awesome. Made all the stops and got out of his truck to explain what each monument was - very personable . There were just 2 couples on this tour so felt like it was a private tour. $150 per Couple was a reasonable price for a 2 1/2 hour tour. We got to see wild horses which I guess is a plus since the are not always in the area. Highly recomment this Tour Group. Easy to find at the View Hotel/Vistors Center - just lool for the turquoise booth.

Great tour, questionable check-in - The tour driver was very informative and gave us a great tour!. The first stop included a visit with a local woman who shared her experience living in Monument Valley. Her stories about life there in the present and in the past were very interesting and much appreciated!

Beautiful views…tour itself was lackluster. - The views were amazing and it ended up being a private tour. The guide was a good driver; but, that’s about it.
Not a lot of info was divulged. I was asking all of the questions and it ended after 1 3/4 hours, which was fine. Do not take the trip unless you have a strong back…it’s very bouncy.

Okay… - We are unfortunately quite disappointed with our tour with Tinhorn yesterday. Our driver Lary arrived punctually at 11 a.m. in his old Jeep and we set off straight away on the tour. My husband and I were the only guests. Unfortunately he didn't introduce himself, we had to ask what his name was. From stop to stop Lary said almost nothing except the names of the rocks, which are all written on anyway. Sometimes he mentioned which film was shot there. But we didn't learn anything at all about the history of the Navajos. Not even when we asked. When we still had almost 30 minutes left of the 2 hours, Lary wanted to drive back after the backcountry part, even though we hadn't driven the entire circle yet. Luckily my husband asked him about the "Artist Point", then he reluctantly drove there. And in the wrong direction, even though the Scenic Drive is actually one way. He then simply skipped another viewpoint and in the end we would have had 8 minutes left. The Monument Valley is definitely worth seeing, it is a wonderful place. The only good thing about the tour was that we also drove into the backcountry, where you are not allowed to go with your own car. We would recommend a different organization. We cannot understand the good reviews here. Especially when Lary asked us at the end whether we wanted to give him his tip in cash or by card.
