Arriving at the trailhead your guide will help you drop into the iconic Rock Canyon Slot narrow slot canyon with a series of rappels ranging from 15 ft to 115 ft. This epic canyon will make all your friends and family back home jealous.
No experience necessary, but be prepared for some adrenaline!

The entrance to Rock Canyon is a thrilling one. Skirting the east border of Zion National Park, we take you through the dune-like area known as Elephant Alcove complete with plenty of off-road driving. Once to the trailhead, Rock Canyon offers a delightful experience with four rappels, including a stunning 110-foot descent into a captivating alcove. As you approach the East Fork, the canyon turns into a lush scene with cottonwood trees and grasses. A small moderate hike out brings you right back to your vehicle.

Off Hwy 89, turn on Hancock Rd. Follow this (no service) for approx. 9.4 mile. At the fork, turn left onto Sand Dunes Road. Follow for 3.2 miles until you see signs for Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park. Turn left, go thru pay station, then right after is the ROAM center on the right

We would do it all over again and again! - We absolutely loved our experience with ROAM! Keith was our guide for the Ride and Rappel adventure in the backcountry of East Zion out of Coral Pink Sand Dunes. We had SO MUCH FUN! We were definitely nervous to start as we had never been rappelling, but Keith reassured us and made us feel confident and safe. If we are ever back in Utah we will absolutely be doing another adventure through ROAM!

Wow!! Highlight of our week in Kanab!! Great service and an amazing guide. - Lexi at the desk was amazingly accommodating to our request for a trip that would entertain 5 very active/athletic adults who wanted an exciting tour. She called in her star guide (Rob), who graciously came in on his off day to give us the 'A-Ride'. Rob was amazing - I haven't laughed so much in years. Rob let us explore, expand our boundaries, gave us some challenges, taught us techniques and equipment rigging, and ensured that we had a full day. We raced thru the normal tour in less than the prescribed time, and Rob generously extended his day (his 'off' day) by giving us a tour in a second canyon to ensure our day was filled. The canyons were beautiful!! Two of the party were my own sons - as a parent, watching my adult children laugh/holler/smile was like the fountain of youth for me. Our whole group repeatedly remarked thru the rest of our vacation that this tour was far, far more exciting than we had expected. Amazing.

Excellent Intro to rappelling with a great guide! - We actually did the 2.5 hr ride and rappel tour out of Orderville. It was a "beginner" rappelling tour and we loved it! Zaaj was our guide and he was fantastic. I would suggest asking for him! We had a great morning in a cool slot canyon, doing some basic rappelling that gradually got a little higher each time. We felt safe and daring at the same time! Makes us want to come back for more!

Family Trip - Looking for adventure - We were looking to add adventure to our trip. This tour did not disappoint. It was an amazing experience for all of us. The guides, Keith and Joe, were excellent and very knowledgeable of the area. It was a great mix of hiking and rappelling. A bonus was learning about the different plants and history of the area. The UTV ride through the dunes was fun.

One of the best days ever - One of the best days ever! Beautiful scenery and lots of fun rappelling even though I am a newbie to rappelling and a senior citizen. Our guides Rob and Keith were fantastic! My adult daughter and I are so glad we chose ROAM Outdoor Adventure Company.. I highly recommend ROAM.

Do this adventure or lose out - I have been a multiple adventures, hands down , this was the best! Niel was so informative and helpful at every turn! We hadn’t replelled since forever, Neil built up our confidence and was very careful every time we did a difficult task! He is a true asset to his company. We saw so many cool rock formations and colors! Only do this tour if you are ready for a challenging adventure!
