The entrance to Rock Canyon is an exhilarating experience. Bordering the eastern edge of Zion National Park, the journey takes you through the dune-like area known as Elephant Alcove, perfect for off-road driving enthusiasts. Upon reaching the trailhead, Rock Canyon provides an enchanting adventure with four rappels, including a breathtaking 110-foot descent into a mesmerizing alcove. As you near the East Fork, the canyon transforms into a verdant landscape filled with cottonwood trees and grasses. A short, moderate hike will lead you back to your vehicle.
Punctuality is crucial. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, the group will proceed without you. Please note, we operate on Mountain Time, which is one hour ahead of Las Vegas and Arizona. Thank you!

Off Hwy 89, turn on Hancock Rd. Follow this (no service) for approx. 9.4 mile. At the fork, turn left onto Sand Dunes Road. Follow for 3.2 miles until you see signs for Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park. Turn left, go thru pay station, then right after is the ROAM center on the right

Awesome utv & rappelling - This was a super fun experience rappelling & utv riding. Our guide was helpful, friendly & no pressure. Jack was our cool guide!!!

The best memories as a family - The rappelling tour was amazing! Wyatt was an incredible tour guide—very patient with the kids. You will not regret this tour! They drive you to the location on ATVs, where you’ll do the rappelling. Let me tell you, my kids, my husband, and I absolutely loved it. It was totally worth every penny. We will definitely come back. Highly recommended!

Thrilling and educational! - Our guide Keith was very kind, patient and supportive as well as going above and beyond to make our experience as pleasant as possible! He also shared a wealth of knowledge about plants and wildlife along the way and was happy to answer any questions we had along the way.

Best guiding service in the area! - We love working with the ROAM team. They're great at providing an amazing experience for all of our guests and for varying skill levels. They were great to communicate with and were helpful in thinking through backup options when the weather was looking iffy. They made sure our guests all felt nurtured and cared for.

Amazing Experience - This was an absolute amazing experience. I have to admit, I was a bit nervous about repelling, but Keith was a great guide, and made me feel very safe. The day started with a ride on the UTV out to the canyons. Be advised, you will not be driving the UTV, you will be a passenger. Then you will spend the afternoon with your group on the East Side of Zion National Park repelling down canyon walls. It is a beautiful area, and absolutely no one else around. It was so peaceful.
You will need to be able to hike back up out of the canyon at the end. Keith did take us to see petroglyphs on the sided of some of the canyon walls. That was really cool.
My only suggestion, is the website says for ages 4 and over. I am not sure this is suited for a 4 year old. You should have a reasonable amount of strength, and able to hike uphill for a while. While Keith set us up for success, and we enjoyed every minute of it, it did involve physical activity.
You will finish the day with a ride back out of the Canyon area. Keith was willing to answer all my questions, and stoped and pointed out a few areas on the drive back. This was the highlight of our vacation out to Zion.

We would do it all over again and again! - We absolutely loved our experience with ROAM! Keith was our guide for the Ride and Rappel adventure in the backcountry of East Zion out of Coral Pink Sand Dunes. We had SO MUCH FUN! We were definitely nervous to start as we had never been rappelling, but Keith reassured us and made us feel confident and safe. If we are ever back in Utah we will absolutely be doing another adventure through ROAM!

Wow!! Highlight of our week in Kanab!! Great service and an amazing guide. - Lexi at the desk was amazingly accommodating to our request for a trip that would entertain 5 very active/athletic adults who wanted an exciting tour. She called in her star guide (Rob), who graciously came in on his off day to give us the 'A-Ride'. Rob was amazing - I haven't laughed so much in years. Rob let us explore, expand our boundaries, gave us some challenges, taught us techniques and equipment rigging, and ensured that we had a full day. We raced thru the normal tour in less than the prescribed time, and Rob generously extended his day (his 'off' day) by giving us a tour in a second canyon to ensure our day was filled. The canyons were beautiful!! Two of the party were my own sons - as a parent, watching my adult children laugh/holler/smile was like the fountain of youth for me. Our whole group repeatedly remarked thru the rest of our vacation that this tour was far, far more exciting than we had expected. Amazing.
