This trail leads to a private access area, a rare privilege for most. The ride promises excitement! An expert guide will ensure everyone’s safety while providing an unforgettable experience. And that’s just the start of the tour! The trail concludes at the entrance of a narrow, distinctive sandstone slot canyon with towering walls. The guide will accompany you into the canyon, assisting over several large boulder sections that are 8-10 feet high*, until it’s time to return to the vehicle. Within the canyon walls, you’ll also discover ancient Native American writings and learn about the formation of these awe-inspiring canyons. After capturing plenty of photos, the group will return to the starting point.
*Please note, participants must be physically capable of climbing over 8-10ft tall boulders. This tour is fairly strenuous. During certain months, there may be standing water in the canyons. In such cases, an alternate route will be taken to ensure guests remain safe and dry. Please come prepared for cold weather.

Great shuttle ride to observation point via east mesa trail - Alex was great very friend and helpful. The shuttle offered to hiking trails is a big help to people with out high clearance vehicles.

Highly recommended! - John did a fantastic job giving the tour, which included a bit of history, some scenic photo stops, and a good amount of explanation of the geology of local area and how it fits into the geology of the entire southwest. The slot canyons were really incredible with the reflected light from red sidewalls at the top of the canyons. Also John described the local plants along the way, and was an excellent photographer with our cell phones. We had a great experience and learned a lot.

Great Slit Canyon Tour - It was amazing. Beautiful pictures. Our guide John was the absolute best. Felt like we had a professional photographer with us as he told us what pics to do and the settings on our cameras!

Couple’s Trip - It was my girlfriend Jeanne’s birthday and our guide John made it such a special and personable experience for the both of us. He was very knowledgeable and informative throughout the duration of the trip. We will be back for more adventures and we will surely be requesting John again. If you are looking for a great and affordable experience I highly recommend East Zion Adventures.

Zion adventure - We had a great time on our adventure to the slot canyon. But our guide John made our whole trip, he is by far the best guide we have had in a long time. His knowledge of the area and his awesome photo spot are second to none

Awesome, even for young kids! - Excellent. We had young kids as young as 4 yrs old and it was awesome, very attentive and had booster seats as well. Very fun, beautiful day, knowledgeable guide. Highly recommend!

Easy hike to beautiful slot canyons. - After a 20-minute pretty bumpy UTV ride we took a very short hike to 2 slot canyons and were rewarded with many beautiful pictures. Bret, our guide, lent a hand in the tight areas and gave advice on the best photo shot locations. He provided us with a history of the area and overview of the landscape.

Pretty Cool Adventure - We were told that one of the canyons that we were going to explore had some water in part of that canyon and it was stinky. We had a choice to still go through with it or plan b, go part of that canyon and check out another slot canyon. We decided plan b. We weren’t able to do the hike and go over the big boulders like it was described in the tour description, but we made the most of it.
The whole experience was still pretty cool! Our tour guide Meagan was very attentive and accommodating. She even took some cool photos of us, which was very nice of her. I’d definitely recommend doing this UTV tour.
At the end of the trip, we asked if there are any trails around we can hike because it would be too late to go back to Zion to do anything else. Meagan told us about Red Hollow Trail nearby. It was what we wanted during the tour…slots canyon, boulder climbing, and easy to moderate hiking at the end of the day! Great end to our day!

Beautiful slot canyons! - Fun, bumpy Sandy ride out and back, but worth it when you get to the two slot canyons. Great customer service guides were knowledgeable and friendly.
