Great walking tour with Lucky! - We really enjoyed our tour of Soweto with Nonhlanhla (aka Lucky). It was a great way to experience daily life in the community and learn more about the history and culture of the area. The tour was very well structured and Lucky was very knowledgeable and happy to answer all our questions. I would highly recommend. Thank you Lucky!

Walking tour with Lucky! - We loved our tour with Nonhlanhla (aka Lucky) she was so friendly and super knowledgeable about the community and its history. She was able to alter our tour to fit in everything within a time constraint that we had. The tour itself was amazing, we loved seeing the different ways of living within the community and learning about its rich history. But Lucky really made it awesome.

Interesting tour of Soweto - We had an interesting tour with Nonhlanhla, in which we were able to learn a lot about the history and development of Soweto. Besides, we got an impression of the current circumstances of the district and the people living there. I would recommend it to everyone who wants to have an realistic experience.

A day in Soweto - I spent a day with Nonhlanhla and Nkuli tour in Soweto and it was amazing. It was really important to me to visit this part of Johannesburg to have a chance to learn more about this country and its history. Nonhlanhla knows a lot and she was eager to share her knowledge with me. My guess is that you can’t skip a visit to Soweto while in Joburg. It was heartbreaking to witness how people are living and left behind by the government. They live with so little… Also, spending a day there, walking around all the places made me much more understand the Apartheid. At the beginning I felt weird « visiting » Soweto but again, it’s important to know and experience it, it might be the only way to get a glimpse of what’s still happening. I highly recommend Nkuli tours and of course my precious guide on that day, Nonhlanhla.

Best guide ever ! - We had such a great day in early September in Soweto with Nkuli ! It was our first day in South Africa and initially the only day we had in Johannesburg but we do not regret a second to spend it there. We walked a lot, seen a lot, learned a lot. We did the tour with our 6 and 8 years kids and it was perfectly suitable for them as well. They may not understand everything at their age but it was so important to learn them to think about how life can look like out from our safe and comfortable European nest where we take so many things automatically without even appreciating them. Nkuli is such a great person and his engagement within Soweto community through The Shalk association is something extraordinary. We loved it so much that we finally spared another day before our departure and did another half day tour in Johannesburg downtown with Nkuli. Recommend 100/100!
