Best of Johannesburg and Soweto in under 5 hours - We had an amazing tour of Johannesburg, the Soweto township, Constitution Hill, Nelson Mandela house, and lots more. Our knowledgeable and friendly guide Lindela did a wonderful job making sure we covered so much in under 5 hours. Lindela was friendly, professional and made us feel at ease and we would recommend Lindela and this tour.

Must do ! - Do not go to Johannesburg without doing this tour! We learned so much from our Guide Pastor. Do not get disheartening by visiting the Soweto shanty homes as other reviewers suggest, it was a highlight for us! We felt 100% safe the whole tour. Do take small cash for tipping as the tour does utilize locals to make your experience extra special.

Chills & emotions at their height - An emotional day with an Extraordinary Guide who thrilled us all throughout this tour. We felt the chills at constitutional Hill, we lived Nelson Mandela's pain through his history. I recommend going , I am still moved by it , incredible time at Mandela and Winnie’s house . Seeing things from the past today shows us that we will never, really forget to make this exit

Soweto and Joburg amazing adventure!!! - Pastor was the most wonderful tour guide. The history and current information about Soweto and Johannesburg kept us learning and engaged throughout our tour. The visit downtown to the coffee shop was great. We would highly recommend.

Johannesburg and Soweto Private Tour 5- hour trip - We have just had the most amazing half day private tour through Johannesburg and Soweto- apologies I cannot remember the name of the female guide but she was incredible. Very knowledgable, we learnt so much! The trip was so much more than I had expected in a very positive way, most likely as it was a private tour. Soweto was the high light- we stayed in a child care centre in the lower class area of Soweto. Well all I wanted to do was ship everything my children have over! They are so happy with very very little and when I say day care centre I mean a small hut! The mothers take it in turn to look after the children aged about 2-5 years. Definitely recommend this trip if you want to see all aspects of Johannesburg. The only other point to add is that you stop in a lot of places and have guided tours so you need plenty of cash for tips plus a donation to the child care centre if visited!

A eye opening experience and very safe - We have just finished this tour with fabulous Khongi as our guide. We were initially worried about the safety in Joburg and questioned whether we should be doing this tour but at no point did we feel unsafe even on foot in the middle of a shandy town in Soweto. It was eye opening and enlightening and I would highly recommended this tour - particularly with a guide as knowledgable as Khongi.

Very knowledgeable guide but some issues. - Wet knowledgable guide who kept us fully informed about the city. Really appreciated the visit to Soweto itself. There were some issues for us. We were not informed about buying sweets for all the small children in Soweto (not that I have issues with spending on them but it was really uncomfortable lining up the children to receive sweets). Also being put in a position at least twice more on the tour to give tips. I would much rather have the opportunity to donate to a local community group rather than it being sprung upon us.
