Tour increases knowledge of South Africa - We booked our tour with Philippians 4 four and our guide Tempo was excellent. He picked us up at our hotel right on time and shared with us a lot of South African history as we drove to the Apartheid museum. The Apartheid Museum was amazing and our knowledge base regarding Apartheid increased by 150%. It is a must see. Then on to Soweta, the area where Blacks were pushed to live during Apartheid, We learned about the Soweto Uprising, toured the Nelson Mandela house, learned about Hector Pietersen and how his death impacted continued violence and visited his well-planned memorial. We visited Vilakazi Street where two Nobel Prize winners, Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu, lived. We stopped for a buffet lunch of South African food. This tour is a must see.
