Great trip to La Rioja - Great trip. Anton picked us up at our rental apartment and drove our small group to Marques de Riscal for a tour and tasting, then a visit to the lovely town of Laguardia and another tasting at Ysios. We had lunch at a nice local cafe before heading back to San Sebastián. Anton was interesting and knowledgeable of the entire area, and we all had a wonderful time.

Exceptional! - Anton was great from get go. We had an awesome wine making tour and tasting at Marques del Riscal with its amazing architecture! We were another one of a kind architecture at Ysios winery. We then finished the tour with Basque fare for lunch!

Wonder tours with North Coast Tours! - We had an amazing wine tour with Anton! Can’t recommend this tour enough if you enjoy great wine, beautiful scenery, and even better company! The 3 course meal was wonderful as well, and in a very traditional restaurant.
We also did a private Basque coast tour with Anton and North coast tours a few days before and it was fantastic! It included a tour and pinxtos lunch in Guernica, too.
Communication was great, pick up times went smooth, and we were even able to get dropped off in different cities from where we were picked up.
These tours exceeded our expectations!

Must do tour in the Rioja - The Winetour at Marques de Riscal is absolutely worth it. We took the tour with the more expensive wines, mainly because these are not as widely sold as the other wines. Our tour guide , Asaad, was knowledgeable, friendly and forthcoming with his isn stories. The Cathedral and the unique bottle opener are a must learn, did not taste any of these treasures though.
Well recommend, great class in Rioja 1.01, and good wines to boost. Actually their most expensive wine was the best. Unlike with more polished houses, where it seems they confuse marketing with quality.
The winery dates back to mid 19 century, the new hotel by Marriott opened its doors mid 2000.
Note: pictures by some do not show Riscal but Ysios, like the one by North Coast tours and the happy couple. Completely different winery. Please check before you book.

Wonderful experience! - We were in San Sebastián for our honeymoon and decided to do this tour which includes our favorite winery Marques de Riscal, it was worth every euro and the 2 hour trip to Rioja region. Anton is a fantastic guide and made the trip fun!
Due to the long journey there we had to get up early in the morning, and picked up a few other people for the tour along the way. But we napped on the way there so it wasn’t a problem. We had a fun and diverse group of people on the tour that really enhanced the experience.
Both Marques de Riscal and Ysios did not disappoint, gorgeous architecture, full of history and delicious wine. The medieval town of LaGuardia was also a highlight of the trip. Thank you Anton for a memorable experience, we love it!

Great honeymoon activity - We went on the wine tour during our honeymoon in Spain. The tour was made so easy by picking us up directly from our hotel. Our guide, Anton, was so knowledgeable about the region. We got much more than just wine tasting out of the tour. We’d highly recommend!

Excellent Trip - really worth doing! - We had a wonderful day with Anton on this trip. The scenery was beautiful and the visits to the wineries were excellent. Anton is an excellent guide and we did two trips with him. The other was a drive from Bilbao to San Sebastián with stops on the way at Gernika and Getaria - amongst others. His knowledge of the area and history is excellent and he is good company as well.

Excursion into Rioja & Basque Country - Anton and his apprentice Lisa were absolutely wonderful. We visited two beautiful wineries, the historic town of Laguardia, and got a nice traditional basque lunch.
They were able to explain not only much about the history and practices of the wineries we visited, but also a lot of basque region history and insight. Overall the experience was a wonderful opportunity to see the greater basque region and learn about rioja wine production, as well as getting to taste it!
Would absolutely recommend.

10/10 tour! - Absolutley wonderful trip with our amazing tour guide Anton. The day was very well planned and it felt like being out with an old friend. We went to two vineyards which were both beautiful and we learned a lot about the Rioja region.
It was alot of driving from San Sebastián to the vineyards but Anton kept it really entertaining telling us about his life and also the surrounding areas.
Certainly worth the money and the time, I couldn’t recommend the tour more
