Nature Adventure in Java! Incredibly impressive journey - We really had the best time with our guide Nano! He showed us the Unpacked of Java and it was really impressive. It was a busy day because we always had to get up quite early, but it was definitely worth it. Nano showed us the beauty of the country and every day was different. We can wholeheartedly recommend the tour and it was a real adventure. Thanks for everything!

Exhausting but breathtaking - We really liked the tour because of its diversity and funny and likeable tour guides (Yogi, Ingar, Chastol, Adam). What we found the tour exhausting was the many sunrise Things to do and the few breaks between Things to do, so be prepared for that. In summary, we would still book the tour again and again, especially because of the great guides.

Fantastic Trip with outstanding guides - We discovered the great nature and culture of Java with our Guide Faruq and the driver Derry Gondrong. They did a fantastic job and showed us hidden places away from the tourist hotspots. Faruq also managed a change in the tour as Ijen could not be visited due to volcanic activities. Instead we had a funny ATV tour. Overall one of the best tours we ever did.

Great tour to see the main highlights - The tour is jam packed and you get to see all the main highlights as listed in the description. You do not have to think about what is coming next as this is explained to you and the transfer from one location to another is seamless. You pay a premium for this but for the travellers who do not have time to plan individual trips and looking for an all-inclusive deal - this is the tour for you. The order of events is slightly different to the description but made perfect sense. Given how far apart all attractions are, there is a lot of driving involved so be prepared for long trips in the car. The car comes with AC and water. Our taxi to Ubud (final designation) broke down and they were able to send a replacement car despite being in the middle of nowhere. One thing to note is that the sunrise tour is no longer possible at Borobudur temple since Covid and they take you to another location.

Impressive Java experience - I booked the 5d4n YOGYAKARTA BOROBUDUR BROMO IJEN TUMPAK SEWU BALI tour. Everything was perfectly organised. A good mix of Indonesian culture and stunning nature. Many thanks to Dino, my guide from Surabaya to Ketapang. He was a great guide, motivator and photographer and took me safely to the Bluefire at Ijen volcano and to the Sewu waterfall He had great tips ready, e.g. for sunrise on Mount Bromo, first on the crater and then at the viewpoint to avoid the large crowds of tourists. This plan worked out perfectly. Short stops to sample local specialities were made possible. I can warmly recommend the tour and especially Dino as a guide. Keep up the good work, Java Adventure Trail team :-)

Unforgettable Journey Across Yogyakarta, Bromo, Ijen, and Bali with Exceptional Guides - We just completed our 5-day/4-night trip from Yogyakarta to Bromo, Ijen, and Bali, and it was amazing. The entire tour was extremely well-organized from start to finish, and the accommodations along the way were excellent. A big shoutout to our two guides, Andi (Yogyakarta) and Albert (Bromo and Ijen), and to our three drivers. Andi and Albert went out of their way to ensure we had a great time. Since one of us must adhere to a strictly gluten-free diet because of celiac disease, multi-day tours in more remote areas can be challenging. Both guides made sure that this wasn’t an issue, and we were well taken care of. We have been traveling for over a year now, undertaking many tours around the globe, and this was certainly one of the best. A big thank you from both of us!

An ordeal - We took a 5 days and 4 nights tour that, from the temples of Yogyakarta, took us to Bali, passing through Mount Bromo. The rating would have been higher if I had not been told, when the tour had already begun, that one of the main attractions of the tour, the crater of Ljen, the only thing to see on the last day, had not been visited. The problem was that the site had been closed a month earlier, due to too many gaseous fumes, but I was notified the day after we arrived.  This made me very doubtful about the seriousness of this tour operator and made me fear for my safety and that of my wife. Apart from that, I think the drivers and guides we had in those days, Andy, Ari and Banu, did their job very well. The driver of the last day in Bali, however, could not take us to the airport, which should be the best known place in Bali for any driver. So much so that in the end there was this beautiful scene, funny as well as absurd, where I pointed  the road to the driver using my smartphone. Although the tour has a small cost I will describe a little 'how it takes place, because, despite seeing 3 or 4 beautiful places, I'm not sure it is worth making such a tiring ordeal. I paid less than 1500 €, but, I would have been willing to pay much more to make a more comfortable trip and with more breaks to rest. First of all hotels always have low to medium hygiene standards and the staff is not prepared and any request is always misunderstood. This despite being given the opportunity to choose the best, from a range of hotels proposed by "Java Adventure". Then the train ride from Yogyakarta to Surabaya lasting 4 hours. The wagon was also dignified, but unfortunately we made the whole trip with a poor boy next to us in pitiful conditions. Sick, dirty and with vomiting habits. It was a nightmare. The crossing of the strait between Java and Bali, on a rather ugly ship and with other travel companions not exactly reassuring. And then the hours in the car... I calculated that, for a 41⁄2-day tour, we spent 26 hours on vehicles. I repeat, 26 hours... The first morning we had the alarm clock at 4:45, but we woke up at 4 to the rising of mosque chants. That day, in addition to the beautiful temples of Borobudur and Prambanan, they took us to see two other low-level attractions, making the day even heavier and leaving Prambanan for last. And we were so exhausted, we didn't enjoy it at all. Couldn't only the temples have been visited? The third morning we woke up at 3am to go see the sunrise in front of the Bromo, after a terrible night spent sleeping dressed in a dirty and cold room. We liked it even in these conditions, but what memories would we bring in if we had visited it more calmly and more rested? If the crater Ljen had been usable we would have had to wake up early even on the last day. They gave us alternatives, but we preferred to do nothing and be taken directly to our destination. This latest decision says a lot about how much this tour is worth, at this rate. Subjective opinion. I wanted to stop it after a day, losing all the money, but we would have had huge logistical problems to solve. However, among the alternatives I was offered, if I went back, I would choose the coffee plantation that stands in front of the Ljen volcano. We still drove there and it was the most beautiful landscape seen between Java and Bali. A fairytale place. Hello.
