Highly recommend! - It was so fun to spend time with Tatjana! Tatjana is charismatics and passionate about the food. And this tour was actually started before we met her in person. Before we arrived Split, Tatjana already gave us information about Split and recommendations for gastronomy. We visited a couple of those recommendations and they are all stellar.

A wonderful personal experience - My wife Emily and I spent 2 weeks traveling Europe with stops in multiple countries, and our day with Tanya was easily the highlight of the trip. She made the experience learning about Croatian cuisine special and personal. We feel so lucky to have spent a day with her and will definitely be back!

Dalmatian delights - We met Tatjana at the green market ahead of our class. It was easy to find as it was right next to the 'silver gate' of Diocesan's Palace. She took us all around the market and Palace to tell us the best places to buy produce to make the dishes and also do some food tasting at the market, bakeries and the fish market too! We went back to her balcony and started to make some nice dishes. We made prosciutto in red wine, shrimp patê, shrimp pasta, polenta, and stewed figs with ice cream! All this turned out great, and I was very happy with how our meals turned out! We were also treated to 2 or 3 variations of wine, sweet wine & Dalmatian liqueur. After this, we all chatted over the meal and wine for the next hour or so, as if we had known each other for years! What an awesome day! I would recommend this tour 100%

Wonderful cooking class experience! - Loved our cooking class with Tanya! She couldn’t have been more delightful! Started out in the green market. She has vast knowledge of Split and Croatian history. Not only was it a cooking class but a great walking tour of the market and palace. Then on to her patio apartment that overlooks the sea. It was beautiful. Great food and a wonderful experience!!

The perfect way to end our vacation in Croatia! - The personal experience with Tatiana. She is very proud of Dalmatian quisine and wants to share that with everyone!

Great experience in Split! - We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Tanja, from the tour of green market and fish market to the cooking experience in her apartment overlooking the Split Harbor. In additional to being a great cook and host, she is extremely knowledgeable about Croatian culture and history. The food and wine were delicious as well! Highly recommend.

Unique experience - This was a very unique experience. We had the opportunity to help prepare (she does 90% of the work!) and enjoy quite a few different dishes. Tanja is a wonderful host and spending time in her home and on her balcony (with an incredible view) was a treat. This was well worth 4 hours of our time in Split.

Market tour and Cooking class with Tatjana - My favorite day of a 2 week trip! Tatjana is so warm and welcoming. The tour of the markets was fantastic sampling all the local delicacies. Back to her lovely flat with the sun coming in on the patio, we all prepared a delicious meal together. Felt like we were great friends by the time I left and can’t wait to try her recipes when I get home. Was able to bring her cookbook home as well so I won’t forget how to make all of it!! Lovely home, food and heart!

Best possible use of your time. - BOOK THIS! We have been in the Balkans for a week now and this is the best experience we have had. This experience is far more than a cooking class. Tanja is knowledgeable of Croatian history, tradition, industry, politics, and anything else you could want to know. She never feels rushed or put out, even when welcoming you into her home. She will patiently walk you around the market and Old Town, sharing information as it comes to her, then take you back to her home and share her own space. The food is wonderful! Even if you don’t love the traditional foods, there is no way to walk away displeased. Buy her cookbook! It is beautiful and she is so proud of the work that went into it. Don’t worry about any potential awkward moments or discomfort sharing someone’s personal space- Tanja is the best host and beyond sociable. Book this tour and you will walk away with a new friend!

Great company, great food, great recommendations. You will regret not booking this experience. - We had an amazing day with Tatjana. The only regret I have is not booking this at the beginning of our time in Split because Tatjana shared so many recommendations we didn't have time to explore many of them before returning home. Tatjana guided us around the markets, sharing the history and usage of ingredients and cooking methods as well as some history of the city, she oozes passion and we loved spending time learning about Croatian food culture. We then walked to her beautiful apparent where she took us through the steps of making some delicious Dalmatian inspired dishes. If you decide to book this experience I recommend taking some euros with you to purchase Tatjana's cook book.
