In this trip, we will merge culture and cuisine. A local guide will introduce you to the city centre, resonant with 1700 years of history and its major historical landmarks. Our culinary journey commences at the green market, a hub where local agriculturists vend their produce. Here, you will get a feel of local commerce and sample some regional products. Our stroll continues along the Split promenade, stopping for a sweet recess at one of the oldest bakeries in Split, in operation since 1949, before heading to the fish marketplace where local fishermen vend their fresh catch. Following this, we’ll indulge in some local desserts and digestif liquor in the old town of Split. The gastronomic experience culminates with a communal lunch prepared in tandem with a local chef. The chef will assign roles and with combined efforts, a tasty dish will be on the table. This experience will undoubtedly provide an insight into why the Mediterranean diet is safeguarded under UNESCO’s heritage protection.
