- Silver Gate - The Silver Gate, the palace’s east gate, was sealed multiple times over the centuries and reopened in the 1940s. It now leads to a market offering local products.
- Triklinij - Triclinium, meaning dining room in Latin, was where Diocletian dined with guests. The menu featured Mediterranean dishes, including local wine, fish, and honey. Up to 20 different courses were often served in one evening.
- Vestibulum of Diocletian’s Palace - The vestibule served as the entrance to Diocletian’s private chambers.
- Temple of Jupiter - Now a baptistery, the Temple of Jupiter can be viewed from the outside without an entrance fee.
- Iron Gate - The Iron Gate, the palace’s west gate, was constructed as a double gate, known as a propugnaculum, like the north and east gates. Enemies could be trapped and attacked with stones, arrows, and hot oil between the gates. Exiting the gate leads to the picturesque “Pjaca” square.
- Golden Gate - The north gate of the palace was the most significant during Roman times, leading to Salona, the capital of the Roman province.
